Yeah I know that they are still quite a long way off but am interested in who's going to be going to them and which ones.
All going to plan I'll be going to the Christchurch one. Just a question though, I went to the Ticketek NZ website and for the ChCh show it only gives buying info for the all ages area. It's an all ages and R18 show (to my knowledge) so shouldn't there be the option for buying a ticket for the R18 section. Unless there isn't one or they are not offering those tickets online.
Not sure why I'm wondering about this since I'm getting my friend to buy me a ticket (since I don't live in Christchurch) from a Ticketek booth thing.
Yeah I'm a little confused. Forgive me for my rambling.

OH MY LIFE! Another Kiwi! Sup BRO. It's one price for all because there will be a bar there, there will probably be a little sub section or level at your venue that's strictly for the people that are drinking, makes sense as far as i can tell because that's what happens at all the R18/All Ages(both as one) shows in Auckland; you're either drinking upstairs or wherever, or you're moshing, can't mesh the two unless it's a R18 show, where it's prohibited. Me myself is going to the R18 Kings Arms show in Auckland aswell as the All Ages show at The Studio the following night up the road.

Hello fellow Kiwi! :D
Thanks for explaining it to me. I think I might of confused my friend from Christchurch who is buying the ticket for me with my rambling about different tickets.
Am trying to find a mate to come to the gig with me. Have asked my friend who's getting the ticket if she wants to go but she's unsure as of yet. I considered asking my boyfriend who kind of likes TLE if he wanted to go to Christchurch with me for the concert but he's not exactly into concerts.
Lucky you getting to go to 2 of their concerts.

Yeah that's the joys of being 18 and your favourite band playing two shows in Auckland, one R18, one AA. Where you from? Dunedin?

I have no idea, as i've never been there before, but me is guessing Hayley Westenra(or however you spell it)and some country stuff?

Sounds like you're thinking of Gore, Marv, not Greymouth.
I'll be at the Studio gig in Auckland as well. Seeing as though I only turn 18 three days later... :( But I won't complain, I've been waiting a fair few years now to see them do their own show. Looking forward to it already!!

I'll be at The Studio aswell, but me is most looking forward to the Kings Arms gig, well both, but the Kings Arms a lil' more because it'll be way more intimate and it starts fairly late which is awesome. Late night gigs are always the most memorable for some reason.

Hi fellow kiwi Juliargh. I like your pic of the evil monkey. I love Family Guy.
And have people who listen to all kinds of music here in Greymouth - people who listen to hip hop, ones who listen to death metal, people into rock etc etc.

Awesome.
My friend gave me my ticket to the ChCh show for my birthday. Yay!
And might be getting a ride over to Christchurch so I don't need to take the bus then, saving me money which I can then spend on merch (and my accommodation at a backpackers)

I shall be at the second gig in Auckland (the studio?? I'm not familiar with Auckland...) and I don't know about the one the night before - maybe. I saw them 5 times last week so there will be no urgency to go to both but yeah, definitely be at the second Auckland one.

Then I found out TLE are playing in Auckland so yeah. I got my ticket to the Studio in the mail today :D

Yeah i remember! BUT....they've got to be CALCULATED risks, so that we dont end up missioning it for a solid 20 minutes or so for us to watch a crap band/artist. Just found out that, The Have are opening the R18 Kings Arms show along with Goodnight Nurse(YUCKY!) and that The Rabble(Yuck!) are also opening with Goodnight Nurse for the All Ages show the next night at The Studio. Looks like i'll be watching from the sidelines until TLE comes on stage.

Hey Marv, can you tell me what the Studio is like? I wanna be on the barrier to watch TLE - is the stage in the downstairs section?? I hate not knowing what to expect :p
And do people line up for ages beforehand? Cause I want to ensure I get the front and I don't know how early to go or where to line up...
Marv From NZ
10-28-2006, 06:14 PM
Well, The Studio is a very good venue for gigs. It's recent aswell, opened like 3 years ago or something like that, so it looks classy....and it is. When you walk in, there's like a lounge sorta section, with couches and tables and stools etc. where people can chill for awhile. If you wanna go to the bar, you simply look left and go up the stairs as you approach this lounge, and if you want you can camp there and watch TLE from the top of the venue while having booze, it looks really rad when you look up from the downstirs section. The main door which leads to the stage, in which you'll see, is towards the back, and it leads you towards the nice and intimate room where the stage and shit is (500-600 max) and yeah it's downstairs in a sense because the bar is upstairs, and yeah there should be a barrier i think, it depends, sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not, at most the barrier is about 1 and half metres away from the stage, which is sorta high'ish but it's real nice. It's REAL INTIMATE in other words. The PA is real clear aswell, one of the better ones. Ummmm in general the queue can be quite long sometimes, but the guards and shit let people go in by batches, so it's safer, less dodgy and more controlled. It can take quite awhile if you're towards the back, but if you push to the front, where it's all crowded and stuff, you can get in pretty quickly. Depends really. But be best to get there 20-30 mins before the doors open, if you wanna get in first, but seriously, it's a pretty smooth venue and it's real accesible to get to wherever you want, so it shouldn't matter to much. I find it pretty easy to get to the front of the mosh, even when im late for shows at The Studio. Hope this helps.

It'd be coz the stage would be by the bar I'm assuming and the upstairs area/balcony whatever would be for the underagers since it'd be an All-ages/R18 section gig.
I think..

Well I'll skip all the talking about what I did before the show since I don't think anyone really cares. (Granted I do ramble a bit in this post anyway)
I will say I had a bit of a hard time finding The Civic, since I don't know Christchurch that well so was wandering around looking for it.
So I got to the venue about 6:30ish and notice their are two waiting points - the Zinc Bar for the 18+ people and the alley entrance for those who are underage. So I show my ID and go into the bar to get a drink. Notice that the latest Groove Guide has The Living End on the cover so I snaffle myself a copy.
Wander back outside to see where the underagers are and say hi. Then back inside where I watched the merch being set up and security talking.
Got let in the concert part about 7:30 so I staked myself out a spot in front of the stage. Then I turned my attention to the underage enterance and see that surrounding where they were let in was a bunch of fences fencing an area off. I thought 'They've got a holding pen for them'. More on that later.
I started chatting to a few people and just leaned against the stage until the first band came on - The Valves.
My first impression of The Valves (who I've never heard before) were that they were quite loud. My next impression was that the singer/keyboard player/tambarine (yeah I know I spelt that wrong) was very entertaining to watch what with picking the mic stand up and dancing with it/swing it around etc.
I was gonna get out my camera and take some photos but felt a little paranoid so didn't as there wasn't that many people up the front and I wasn't sure if cameras were allowed and didn't want to get mine confiscated that early in the night.
I enjoyed The Valves (especially at the end of the last song where I cracked up over what the singer was doing to his keyboard, thought he was gonna smash it at one point) and hope to see them live again sometime.
The underagers are still being held in the holding pen and I realise they're not being let out. They're all chanting 'let us out' and I feel sorry for them. They paid for their tickets and they're being fenced off.
Anyway started chatting to this guy who was standing next to me about bands and stuff. He was nice, gave me a sip of beer when I had a random coughing fit while trying to talk to him.
Next up was Goodnight Nurse and I know I'm gonna get things thrown at me for saying this but I enjoyed their set. I saw them live last year and they're quite a fun band to see. I wouldn't rate them as one of my favourite bands but I didn't feel like covering my ears when they were playing.
Anyhow so after Goodnight Nurse played and while the roadies were setting up for The Living End there were some people in the second row who were getting a bit antsy to get up front. There was one guy behind me who kept driving his elbows into my back and ramming into me saying "It's only gonna get worse mate" and being a dick. I can understand all the pushing and stuff while the band is playing - that's just a fact on concerts and being up the front. But ramming into someone for no reason other than to try and intimidate them into moving back - that's not cool. I had to hold back from turning around and having a go at him.
So everything is in the process of being set up and everyone is going ooh and ahh over Chris's guitars and Scott's bass. I'm getting my camera all ready for taking photos.
So the lights dim and the band walks on stage and wow everything just goes nuts.
So I'm jumping (well I'm kinda compacted so jumping is a bit hard) along, taking photos and singing along. They opened with 'Til The End' and here's me thinking with a huge grin on my face. "Wow, I'm right up against the stage seeing The Living End in concert!"
The setlist was:
Til The End
Roll On
We Want More
Who's Gonna Save Us
What's On Your Radio
All Torn Down
Into The Red
Nothing Lasts Forever
Second Solution
E Boogie
Long Live The Weekend
Prisoner of Society
Wake Up
Carry Me Home
West End Riot
I was up the front up until the encore (last 3 songs) when my hoodie dropped onto the floor (I had it wrapped around my waist as it was too hot to wear it) so I got out from the front, picked up my hoodie and went to get a drink.
What can I say about The Living End's performance? Well I was definately impressed and I told Chris that I'd be telling all you guys how great it was and how you've already got high expectations anyway.
I was hoping that they would play 'Tainted Love' but wasn't too worried that they didn't. I thought it was a good line up of songs. I was happy they played something off Modern Artillary. Be interesting to see what the sets are for the other NZ shows.
Was somewhat funny seeing the people trying to crawl on stage being towed away by security. I got a scare while taking photos when I saw a security guard that was on the stage coming right at me. So I try and put my camera away to realise he wasn't coming to tell me off, he was grabbing a guy who was crawling up on the stage beside me.
I'm surprised I'm not bruised across my stomach from being shoved into the stage - no concert battle scars for me. I hit my head on the speakers a few times.
I took some photos which I shall post tomorrow. I think after writing this and the next post I make about after the concert I'll be ready for bed. But will post some of my photos tomorrow.
Sorry this wasn't much of a review, if you've got any questions that may remind me of something else to write about just let me know.

11-01-2006, 08:36 PM
So the crowd is starting to leave and I wandered over to the stage and hear one of the security guys saying something about 1:15 which I assumed meant was when The Living End were coming out to sign stuff etc.
So I think 'What am I going to do to pass the time?' so I wander around helping put some of the bottles in the bin. Yeah I'm lame.
After that I go to the Zinc Bar and get a drink then buy a bag from the merch area. I had my eye on the jackets but didn't think I had enough money (turns out I did which I found out once I got to the bar to get another drink). One of the security guards tells me to go get some fresh air and I say 'For the record, I'm not drunk' (Unfortunately I sounded kinda drunk though the only thing I'd had to drink at that point was that sip of beer plus raspberry & coke and a lemonade).
So I go outside for some fresh air. I see a guy run past with a signed setlist so I think 'Cool I might be able to get something signed now'
So back inside I go into the concert area and I see Chris walking around. So I go "Chris!" and he walks over to me and I said "I'm so glad to see you" :o then I go "I mean, it's nice to meet you again, I met you at Edgefest earlier in the year" and I ask for a hug (yeah at that stage I was kinda wishing that I had an undo button but part of me thought that people have probably said more embarrassing things. I'll blame hitting my head a few times that night)
So I get a photo taken with him and he signs a couple of things for me (my State of Emergency CD booklet and TLE bag). He says the other guys will be down soon.
I asked him if he remembered the bowing guys at Edgefest. He said he remembers something about it. So I was saying how they were nice guys and one was in a band (which I had to correct myself on what they were called)
So I'm walking around helping clean up a bit (I figured if I looked like I was doing something constructive I'd be less likely to have someone try and kick me out. There were other people around too though).
I spot Scott walking with Chris and he comes over and offers me a pringle (he had a little can of salt and vinegar pringles) while he signs the stuff for me and get a photo. Well two since the first one was quite blurry. I got a hug too (yeah I know the hug thing is a bit fangirlish, forgive me. )
I asked Scott when Andy would be down and he said soon so I continue helping out with cleaning and spot a signed concert ticket on the floor. I pick it up, thinking that it must belong to one of the local stage helpers or something so I put it in my pocket so it doesn't get put in the bin.
I also find a copy of The Valves setlist on the floor and I went to the stage and find a (rather scruffy-looking) TLE setlist taped down. It was partially ripped so I figure someone must of tried to grab it but were unsuccessful. So I carefully lfted it off and put it safely in my TLE bag.
Anyway I get a little bored of waiting so decide to head to the bar to get a drink.
I go and talk to Chris and tell him how I first heard of The Living End - my friend gave me their self-titled album that she'd taped for me and I used to bounce around the hallway listening to it on my Walkman. Chris said 'On tape. That's kinda old school' (well that wasn't exactly what he said but something like that). Then he said how it was cool I found out about the band through word of mouth.
Later I see Andy so talk to him for a bit and get the signatures and photo. I ask if he can write to Kirsty or something on there if it wasn't too much trouble. I take out the setlist and see if I can get that signed.
Then I go and talk to Scott and asked if he'd mind signing the setlist for me and writing my name on there. He misheard Kirsty as Christie but I didn't mind. I also told him about me worrying about how I thought security were going to confiscate my camera and he said that there's nothing wrong with some snapshots. Then I told him what my Uncle had told me about why some venues won't allow cameras.
Then after that I made my way back to my accommodation.

I was at Welly too and I think the set list was the same that Christchurch had.
Have to agree completely with Benji - Absolutely AWESOME show - I've never seen the guys live before (oh the shame) and they blew my mind. I've been a fan for yonks but never been to a gig.
Stuck it out in the moshpit for the first five songs before needing to retreat to the relative safety/comfort of the bar. I'm not a short girl at 5'9" but there were some major dudes doing some serious body slamming and I was defeated.
I'm cut and bruised and pretty sore but would do it all again in a heartbeat. Chris said we are crazy bastards :)
Hope everyone else going to the NZ shows has as fantastic a time as we did last night. Wish I could go again and again. Am already suffering major withdrawal symptoms!
Come back soon, guys!

There were some big dudes in the pit, eh? I'm definitely not a little guy, I'm maybe 5'11" - and there were guys towering above me who definitely had the height advantage in the usual "push your way as close as you can" battles that went on. I was planning on bouncing around at the front for maybe five songs, then heading back to the bar and enjoying the show from there, but I was really enjoying the moment up the front so I stayed second row for the whole show. No battle wounds at all though, I had two girls either side of me so I was spared the usual elbows to the head, uppercuts to the jaw and headbutts to the face you have to deal with in the pit. Seeing it's hotter than a sauna in there, it made my post-show beer that much better. (Then it was straight home to bed, unfortunately, had work at 6:30 this morning.)
Anyway, I think the setlist was the same as the Christchurch show - with all the added jams and interludes that I'm sure they played there too.
The Rabble would be awesome as an openning act, they'd get the crowd going so well, but goodnight nurse?!... urgh...
I usually show up at shows late, provided I've got a ticket or I know they're not going to sell out. I actually missed the first song of The Living End's set, and was walking up the stairs of Indigo just as the crowd was chanting along to the intro of 'Roll On' - but I'm psyched I managed to miss Goodnight Nurse completely, they're that bad... nothing would've ruined the amazing show that The Living End put on, but why make it any worse at all?
But I don't dig on The Rabble, I don't rate them at all.. definitely better than Goodnight Nurse though. Wonder how they managed to get the spot as opening band, it's a pretty weak choice.

Tonights R18 show was the 3rd time i've seen TLE live, and holy shit, what i thought was impossible became possible and TLE shitted on the other times i've seen them live before, simply unbelievable, how they do it? I dunno, but fuck it's better than sex that's for sure. Like Chris said at the start of the 3rd song (WGSU), "Fuck! This is a fucking pub gig alright, not quite as good as the real old days, but it seriously doesn't get much better than this!" and he hit the money alright, it doesn't get better than seeing TLE play at a good sized tavern/bar that's fully jam packed. I'll write a proper review on Sunday and yeah what can i say....TLE simply are the best live band in the world. What an experience!

Yeah i know aye! Tonights show wasn't as good as last nights one, it wasn't the band being off or anything, it was just that the crowd was fairly young and i dunno for some reason it didn't feel as EPIC as the Kings Arms gig, but heck i'm not complaining, it was still one killer of a show, and one i'll always remember for the rest of my life. Heck i got to talk to the boys after the show for a while, so that was rad. I won't write a proper review(s) till tommorow, but here's some quicknotes about the Kings Arms and Studio gigs:
Kings Arms:
* Sold out, jam packed, as Chris' said to me after the show tonight "one of the hottest gigs i've played in a long time. I lost it towards the end cas' it was so fucking hot!" Never seen so much sweat in my life really.....
* Scott and Andy played topless for all but the opening song.
* They played another E-Boogie sounding bluegrass song which merged into All Torn Down, i've never heard it before.
* They did alot of improvising and doodling.
* Set was about an hour and 45 minutes long. Similar, if not exactly the same as the other NZ shows setlist.
Studio:
* Not quite Sold out, but still almost completely filled.
* Played exact same setlist as last night BUT.....added UNCLE HARRY!!!! last second to the list during the encore because the whole crowd was shouting/requesting it all night, was fucking one of the best songs of the night!
* There were a few "Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!" chants, and the band played off it. Chris said we weren't Kiwis.
* Chris and Scott said alot of SHEEP SHAGGING and in general SHEEP jokes to the crowd. Twas' funny..... for e.g. Scott: "How does a Kiwi find a sheep in long grass?" Chris: "How Scott?" Scott: "Quite good thanks!!!!" *Crowd bursts into laughter* Was funny as hell, and then Scott ran off stage in the fear that he'd get shit thrown at him for saying it. Bloody magical.
* I chatted to them after the show towards the back of the venue. Twas' cool. Chris mentioned to me that he thought that most of the bands that played Warped Tour this year "Were fucking shit aye! Too much of that screamo/emo shit." Andy confirmed to me that Guyfawkes is indeed banned in Australia due to bushfires or someshit, i really wanted to know. Scott almost died of heart attack, when a super loud firework right next to the venue went off, his facial expression was priceless. Andy said they're gonna take a month-2 month break at the begining of 2007, they're gonna "Eat, drink, get fat and sleep".
I'll write some more shit tommorow. That'll do for now.

Well, the gig at the Studio last night was awesome! I got up the front and consequently have the biggest bruises EVER thanks to the shitty "barrier".
The Rabble- I don't know who the fuck they were but they fucking sucked. There were are few people who obviously knew who they were but I didn't and I could barely muster any energy to clap them when they left the stage.
Goodnight nurse were okay - the lead singer is way tall in real life. But I just wanted them to leave so I could see TLE.
In the break between Goodnight Nurse and TLE I had an anxiety attack cause I was so sick of waiting - it took way longer for the bands to come on here than it did in Queensland.
TLE were way worth the wait though!! AWESOME!! I loved the inclusion of Uncle Harry (was meant to be End of the World but the crowd wanted Uncle Harry)... definitely the highlight of the night. I had people next to me that only knew the words to State of Emergency so I looked like a bit of a tool going absolutely mental for all songs, but I don't care - it ROCKED.
I got a pick which is cool, and I also got a smile and a nod from Andy 'cause I saluted him haha.
That was my 10th time seeing TLE - and they have just gotten so much better of late. I'm glad I went!!
I have some cool photos which I will probably post tomorrow for you all :)
Wish I could have met TLE afterwards but I got pushed out by security - wish I had stayed though!

The Rabble are an Australian band, as far as I'm aware. I think they're from Melbourne but I might be wrong. They're fucking awful anyway - boring, no-creativity, soul-less music, without a message worth hearing. I find it hard to be opposed to someone who's enjoying themselves making music - it's pretty harmless fun - but I think their music is just totally lacking any value at all.
...I also got a smile and a nod from Andy 'cause I saluted him haha.
At the Wellington show there was a guy near me who was air-drumming (getting it wrong, oddly enough, but I'll give him points for effort) the whole time, and about midway through the show, Andy pointed to him with his sticks and went to throw them to him. They actually hit Scott, who caught them, then after some confusion, passed them to the guy who'd been air-drumming. I thought it was pretty cool of Andy to do that; Chris was throwing his guitar picks into the crowd like crazy and gave away all of the ones on his mic stand at the end of the show (I got one), but those were the only drumsticks given away. I asked one of the NZ Rockshop helpers packing up the gear if I could have the pair of sticks Andy had dropped down by the bass drum but was denied. That guy knows who I am too, so I'm gonna bitch at him next time I go into the Rockshop.
But seriously, it's no big deal. I'm not so big on autographs, picks / sticks, setlists, photos with the band, etc. - for me, the experience of the moment is what's important, and the memories are going to last far longer than an already-snapped drumstick will.

Well I don't have much to say that hasn't been said, but, how fucking good was that!!! Well worth the almost half decade wait, I'm so glad they organised their own NZ shows.
The crowd didn't seem that young to me, I was expecting (and dreading) a whole lot more emo kids and the like to turn up, but I didn't see that many. Mind you, I was in the mosh pit surrounded by tall sweaty guys and the stupid Rabble people that started the circle pit.

Amen to that - and I also found them to be way to literal - they said that a song was about "walking in my shoes" or some shit and not to judge people and whatnot, and then the song had pretty much those exact lyrics!! There was no symbolism at all - just plain literalism.
That's pretty cool of Andy to do that!! He's such an awesome bloke.
...the stupid Rabble people that started the circle pit.
ARGH those guys were pissing me off... I got sandwiched by one who went crash into my back and thus shoved me square into the stage - that was just rude in my opinion, there is no need to create trouble in a mosh pit.
And the guitarist in the Rabble had seriously WAY too much energy. There is a line between enthusiasm and over-enthusiasm and he crossed it. By a MILE. He was jumping on the walls and up and down like a complete retard and nearly squashed my arms a thousand times. It just looked ridiculous.

You guys are funny. I too hate the Rabble. Benji where did you get your Melbourne, Australian band info from? They're Kiwis, from the North Shore of Auckland as Julia mentioned. I talked to one of the dudes from The Rabble out the back, along with Gibbo from Elemeno P and the singer from Streetwise Scarlett, and Jaden the drummer for Goodnight Nurse(He seemed real cool and down to earth, even though i can't stand his band.), all of them were pretty nice and funny guys APART FROM the dude from The Rabble, acted like a complete fake rockstar for e.g to one of the fans of Goodnight Nurse that didn;t know who Streetwise Scarlett were, "I'm the 4th guitarist for these guys. I also played guitar during Goodnight Nurses set tonight. I can sign your thing aswell if you want?" The dude just butted into the conversation. What a punk. I found it cool when Scott sorta snobbed him when he tried to talk to him, Scott just walked back upstairs, and the dude was like "Gibbo don't leave me!". Not sure if it was intentional, but i found it appropiate, although Scott had clearly had a few beers by then, so it's a mystery. ifoughthelaw, we too got asked by security to fuck away from the backstage area, but we just stayed and waited and talked to the dudes from the above mentioned bands, although i don't know why the security guys were like that, cas' when TLE came out to talk or smoke, they seemed cool with us being there, so yeah. It's cool when you talk to TLE, you don't feel nervous or anything, they're just so down to earth that it feels like you've known them in person for ages. When i talked to Chris, it felt like i was the interviewer in the FHOI and SOE dvd, you know how he talks to to guy or girl like he's their friend, it felt like that to me aswell.

My bad.. I thought I remembered that they were from Australia from an episode of XSTV (awful show, but I BMX, and they happened to be showing a BMX feature rather than the usual barrage of cars driving around in circles and tasteless girls), but it seems I'm totally wrong on that one. Have they been based in Auckland their whole career? I could've sworn they were in Australia at the time of the episode.. maybe they were playing some shows over there or something. Anyway, thanks for correcting me, I can now add one more thing to the list of reasons I dislike Auckland. ;)

I was up the front for the whole show and my chest is bruised to hell from being crushed against the stage front. Well worth it though!
Best bits of the night were UNCLE HARRY yeya, making Chris laugh when I yelled out that it was my birthday (by the way: best birthday e v e r), having Scott come over to ask me what we wanted when everyone was shouting for Chris to give us his pick (he couldnt hear me though lol) and going up on stage to go crowd surfing during West End Riot (you probably saw me as me and my mate went up at the same time).
I even managed to lose my phone and a shoe during it - got them both back though. I'd love to see that video of the show gbridgeman made.

I was really surprised when I found out TLE were playing at the kings arms considering the last time I saw them was at the town hall and before that at the Powerstation. Anyway the kings arms got so insanely hot, I was so dehydrated and had to give up my spot at the front and go to the bar for some water. But damn do these guys know how to play their instruments! Andy's technique is amazing, easily the best drumming I've ever seen. Heaps of drunken blockheads in the crowd though, chanting and ranting on about absolute crap. Where do these morons come from? Eden park? Anyway TLE pulled of an amazing set and I also got to see them the following night at the Studio which was just as good. One of the best bands ever.

Hahahaha cool! Glad you like the photos... I took them with my phone so it was hard to get any decent ones. Especially with people pushing so I couldn't get a still shot
Here are a couple of the better photos I got from the Studio:

Fuckin hell agreed. Doesn't help that the venue size is awkward and compact, definitly the hottest gig i've ever been to. Even when i talked to Chris at the end of the Studio show, he told me that the Kings Arms show was ridiculously hot, infact one of the hottest shows he's ever played, but yeah, it was all worth it.
Nice photos everyone. I'll have mine up within the week, when i have some time.

Yeah I actually thought they were gonna stop the show to cool off haha.
It was also funny watching dudes jump on the stage and then quickly get dragged off.

They had that at the Christchurch show. At one part I saw this security guard who was standing my the stage race over to where I was standing and I thought I was in trouble but no, it was too drag this guy who was next to me off the stage.
Was funny watching them get dragged across the stage by security.

Did anyone in NZ watch C4 just before? They had an interview thingy with TLE before the Kings Arms show. Twas quite good, all in good spirits as per usual. And Scott attempted a somersault without spilling and beer and as Chris put it: he "didn't spill one drop - he spilt about 50". And Chris also said that he was "stinky and moist" like bowling shoes, in true Cheney-humour style haha
