Has the deal with the labels finished?
Has the deal with the labels finished?
No. You gotta collect the labels, enter the codes, get the points.
Then you can get the tickets.
Theyre 50points a ticket and limited to 10 per person. oh and of course as Andre said, there is a booking fee, which is small.
www.coca-cola.com.au for more details.

If End of Fashion and After The Fall are opening then I might go. I haven't collected any labels though. Last year I had tons. I might go down to AAMI after the game and scab some.

I have enough points for 11 people. I didnt know there was a 10 per person limit. Gotta love that poeple leave their rubbish at the footy!
I'm gonna go cos a free concert is a free concert and it doesn't hurt to go.
Now i'm figuring out who to take. Hmmmmm

Is the booking fee $3.50 per ticket?
deano1337
09-21-2006, 08:16 PM
how much points per rapper?
hillaas
09-22-2006, 02:45 AM
Depends on size. 600ml is 10 points and 390ml is 5 points. I haven't seen points on big bottles this yeart but last year it was 15 points for 1.25ltr bottles.
I'm not sure Julian if it is $3.50 per ticket or for the whole fee. I assume it's 4 the whole fee because thats what a booking fee usually is.
Julian
09-22-2006, 06:49 PM
I actually think it's per ticket. That's the jist I got from the terms and conditions but I could be wrong.
Aaannddd the Coke site doesn't work for me. It froze my fucking computer.

Oh yeah, you gotta watch out for that Coke site. It's animation heavy, I can never get in without experiencing FACE MELTING LAG. Yeah. I might go to this... EOF were damn good at the Palace, gotta be happy with that :D.

I'll head on down to the sydney show.

haha good one! not sure if i can be bothered this year, evermore are the only attraction. i'm going to john mayer the night before so i probably won't be feeling like another night out since i plan on waiting hours afterwards to meet him..

I got a riddiculous ammount of labels from the footy last year. It's a great idea.
Well i'd love to see After The Fall but my computer simply won't let me get on the coke website. Argh why do they need so much crap on there.

I'm actually starting to look forward to this concert. I already have the latest After The Fall album and yesterday i got 'Dreams' by Evermore and i'm really liking that. Also, after seeing EOF at the Palace i really enjoyed it and i think that i will endeavour to but their latest CD as well.

The only reason I went last year was for the Living End...
I dont think I could stand to sit through an Evermore set again. I don't mind their music, but damn they're boring live...
hillaas
10-12-2006, 07:34 PM
Really... i hope they are good for the gig seeing as it's on a school night.
I wasn't intending on going to this but at my work experience I was putting together some bags they were sending out for it and the lady said she'd send me a couple of tickets in the mail. But I think she might have forgotton cos I still haven't got them.
hillaas
10-15-2006, 08:05 PM
What type of bags? Were they freebie bags?
AlinaPOW
10-20-2006, 08:52 PM
Where did you do work experience?
hillaas
10-20-2006, 09:09 PM
I'm saving all my points so i can enter them in a draw at the end of the year (and hopefully win because no one else will be entering at that time). Did anyone notice if the prizes got shit after the tour or were there still good prizes such as amps and guitars etc at the ned of the year?
I think the bags were to mediaish places, they had a rolling stone, drumsticks, coke, badges, promo stuff, that sorta thing in it.
And I did work experience at Premier Artists/Mushroom Marketing/Liberation Music
And the tickets arrived a few days ago :D She sent 10 so It's possible I might have some spare if anybody wants one, but I'm not sure yet.
She was so nice. If anyone needs a suggestion for where to do work experience in Melbourne, go to Premier Artists!

I am really pissed off because currently mum and da have been saying that i cant go because it's on a school night and i also have a gig on monday.
Looks like i have a lot of convincing to do...
My god it was fucking shit.
Sound problems, poor lighting setup, screaming teenies.
I knew it would be bad. But not this bad.
Less crowd than last year, and I can confirm at least one of the artists mimed part of their act, almost all of it :s

I was meant to be there, I won some tickets to it although I didnt really want to go, but I didnt go because I couldnt get there...

my sister went and she said it was good besides the veronicas (& trav!!!:D). she said evermore were good & end of fashion were pretty good as well. i only went last year coz of tle as well!!
hillaas

It wasn't TRAV! MY GOD!
Anyway, I went and i thought that it was pretty good, i wouldnt pay more that $30 to go to it though as none of teh bands are my favourites. Heres what i thought:
Saving O'Neil: Arrived after them but got stickers and signaitres and photos with the lead so that was good. (I thought he was from The Hot Lies at the time).
The Hot Lies : Arrived halfway through their set and thought they were OK from the 2 sings i saw. Wouldn't see them again.
After The Fall: I got a copy of thier new album about a year ago and listened to it about twice the other week. I liked them but ended up leaving and walking round looking for free stuff about 3 songs in. It was good that i recognised a few of their songs.
End of Fashion: After seeing them with TLE i knew what they were gonna be like and after TLE i recognised a few of their songs sing as the set was pretty much the same. I like seeing them live but i don't think i'd ever pay to see them headlining a show.
The Veronicas: Although i'm not a fan they were pretty good live except they were a bit rude calling people in th eaudience pricks and dickheads etc. I was mainly watching the band and they were actually pretty good, especially the drummer. His stick tricks were awesome and some of the shit he pulled was sweet!
Evermore: I have both of their albums (and now their new single as i got it at the gig) and i enjoyed their performance. They aren't really a rock out type band live (i never expected them to be), but they were good to watch and sing a long with. I wouldn't pay to see them live again though (like all the other bands) but i still enjoy listening to their CD's.
If i can be bothered i'll put pics up later.
At the Perth L&L someone set off a pepper spray can in the "mosh pit" and the joint had to be evacuated.
Hahahahaha
And the Veronicas swore like troopers at the crowd at that gig too. Hang on, they did it at all the gigs.

Yeah, at Melbourne they got a bit of shit chucked at them. But they also returned the 'favour' by chucking it back and swearing and making rude gestures at the crowd.

coke live was awesum, the local band was good but i missed them, the hot lies were alright,
after the fall were good, i got to meet them after there performance some of them were really nice.
the veronicas were swearing at the crowd and the crowd threw alot of stuff at them and one of them was hit lol, there singing was better than what i can do but not really up to scratch.
end of fashion i didnt watch there performance i went to get food, i met two of the guys nick and rodney and they are Snobs and went that nice.
Evermore they were to best in my persoanl opinion and they are really nice guys. Peter the one who plays the keyboard autually took the time to talk to us for like 15 mins.
this was all at adelaide and every band got thrown bottles at and other items.

Ha ha, that made my day. Wat did they get hit with?
Everything possible.
The Pepper Spray incident would have been cool though.
Stings like all hell, but still fun.

I know a friend of mine hit them at the melbourne show 'coz he needed to empty his pockets before crowd surfing, I think it was a 20 cent coin or something along those lines... something hard :D
