FTOC decided they weren't doing a third season before they even made the second one. Plus, they ended up back in NZ at the end of the second one just to cement the fact that there wouldn't be a third one, I think.

Jemaine is in this movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1161418/) though, which doesn't have an australian release date yet but hopefully it will come out here eventually.

It's a drama with comedy aspects.. A bit like Secret Life Of Us, but set around characters who are all about 30.. Definately reccomend. It took me a few episodes to get into it.

Also, completely seperate, but has anyone seen "7 Periods with Mr Gormsby"? It's a riddiculously politically incorrect NZ tv show.. Low production budget.. but it's farh-ken-foo-knee.

I remember watching Heart Break High back in 1998/1999 and being so in love with 'Drazic' :p He's been in quite a few good Aussie shows.

Claire van der Boom was in Love My Way, which was another awesome Aussie show that was only shown on Fox (one of those channels anyway).

I haven't been able to watch it for a while but I really like RUSH! Its actually got interesting storylines and good acting, unlike that similar-premised show on channel nine. Rescue something or other. I can't remember what its called but its an absolute piece of shit.

Oh, and heartbreak high will apparently be on TV every night on that new channel ABC3. I don't know if you'll get that in Tasmania but that's just a heads up for anyone wishing to rekindle the 90s!

There have been alot more cliche'd plot devices and themes this season than last season...thats a bit of a shame.

I'm actually a little disappointed in season 2 of Rush.
Don't get me wrong I still love the show and watch it every week but like Glenn mentioned it does tend to get a bit "predictable drama-ish" at some points whereas the first season just had you hooked for the entire episode.

The whole Kerry storyline is really starting to bug me though, I wish they'd sort out her crap lol
Same with the guy who has the baby and who's wife is a bit of a psycho (I can't remember the characters name right now) I wish they'd sort that out as its kind of taking away from the main "action" of the show.

My favourite australian drama at the moment is probably east-west 101 on sbs on tuesdays, but yeah, its a very SBS kind of show.

Don't take that the wrong way Kylie, its still definately worth watching I just feel like they've dragged on a few storylines for a bit too long now.
Time for the characters to find some resolution and not be so "home and away meets cop show drama-like."

The main storyline in each episode is usually pretty believeable though which is good and I enjoy that it was all filmed around my old house.
In the episode that was on about 2 weeks ago now they showed 'Kasim's Indian restaurant' and that was pretty much two streets away from my house (and my fave Indian restaurant lol).
Also watched them film an episode at Newport once but didn't realise what show it was at the time!

Yeah, before they relied on the actual "case" or "situation" of the episode to provide the drama. It also ensured that every episode had a closure. Which in turn meant you could miss an episode and not actually miss any of the storyline, because there wasn't an ongoing one..as such. Now each week is a new installment of the Kerry drama, or the Dom +Wife+Baby+Mistress saga. I don't carrrreeee...i want to see them bust a cap in someone ass.

I've also seen them in and around my workplace (city of melbourne), on a few occasions so I guess you're right in what you say as Docklands is still CoM.
