Ok so we all know The Longnecks were playing St Kilda festival. But there were lots of other bands too.
So who did you guys see, who saw Trav Dempsey and The Currency?
Who drank about 3 litres of that Red Ice Tea stuff?
Pretty bloody good day if you ask me!

We slowly ventured over to the currency.
They were fair good, got a fewe photo's..
I really liked the currency! I wasn't so sure about their stuff when I listened on myspace, it was nice but nothing particularly special but I thought they were amazing live!

I only saw like two seconds of the currency.
i pretty much just wanted to see trav, he looked sort of uncomfortable for some reason haha.
Does anyone know if the boys were watching?

I was pretty pissed off that I missed this.
I read the weather report on Friday and it was supposed to be shitty, then again on Sunday it said chances of showers.
So I thought, nah I'm not gonna risk it, plus I couldn't really afford to get down there. So I stayed at home.
Then I saw it on the news and it was a perfect day and I got shitty.

If he was nervous, I think it would be less to do with the boys being there or not - cos I really dont think he'd care one way or the other - but much more to do with the whole "zomg its trav from the living end" factor.
All said and done Currency put on a damn fine show.
Not a 'rock' show, but if you're into anything celtic inspired, none-too-shabby!

The Longnecks were freaking awesome!! so were The Currency!! (especially since i'd never heard them before)
think i saw a few forumers around (Mel, Amy, Bec and Alina i think, possibly Kimjar) but didn't end up saying anything... I was the tallish dude in the black NOFX shirt...

The entire day, right from 9:30am loading into the Kingston bus with all the crew up 'til staggering into the house at 9pm that night, could only be described as phenomenal. I had such an amazing day i don't even understand how a day can be THAT great! It was the epic amounts of people i ran into, it was the sense of being useful, it was the beautifal weather, it was all the laughs and most importantly it was the bands and the moshing and the jigging and all that jazz.
I'd rather not waste space ranting up TLE again... all that's in the Longnecks thread, and there's plenty of it, but i will say that sitting centre stage for West End Riot has now gone down as a highlight in my life :)
Then there were the bands over at The Push stage where i was working. My mate's band who i didn't realise were playing... watching him sing is like magic. A talent like him doesn't come along often, the emotion and the rawness and the sheer stage presence...
and then there was This War, farkin' brilliant punk that reminds me most closely of Operation Ivy i guess... they were heaps good.
I know that the Deep End did an epic job and they deserve the huge crowd they got, which they managed even while TLE were playing... they were gutted that they got the smae timeslot!
Dunno 'bout the rest of the bands...
The band that were on before TLE, didn't catch their name but that was some rad funk right there!!
And to cap off my day, The Currency. Who i have been hanging out to see for the last year ever since Marko sent me an ep in the mail to make up for me not being able to get into the launch... FINALLY got to see them and it was OH so much fun!!!!! Their crowd was brilliant, one of my favourites, much love going on infront of the stage from ALL those fine young sweaty gentlemen :p
Then me and Al wandered off ad had a quick as chat to Trav which was rad and he said he'd be back in a sec 'coz he was unloading gear but then he got caught in other conversations so we bid our farewells and left...
Didn't get a chance to talk to Marko either which WAS a shame!
And then the train ride home was entertaining too.
Anyway. PHENOMENAL.

haha yep, finally someone agrees with me (this is what happen when you're the only person in my group of friends that LOVE the living end). My cousin think I'm crazy because I have the SOE CD and Vinyl lol. p.s. sorry for the off-topicness haha.
p.s. Did anyone hear what Chris said when he started introducing the band when they played WER?
