They are still good enough to always play at the Arthouse in Melbourne every time they are in Australia.

What fucking band would do that? A bloody good one

You do realise the arthouse is not a big venue. Perhaps the size of an average pub

Not wanting to read Erik's mind here or anything, but i believe that is the point he's making. They could pack out bigger venues, but always love going to the more 'underground' ones.

If you're a fan, buy and watch 'We're Never Going Home' which is their dvd... and you might get it.

Yeah a lot of people like it and you'll have a good view of the stage from anywhere really.

I guess I just haven't had one of those 'atmospheric' experiences there for it to be one of my preferred venues.

I'm there. And two melb shows! How much are tickets? If they're decent I'll go to both gigs.

Despite there new album being a bit on the fat load of crap side, Against Me! are one of the best live bands I have ever seen and I shall definately be attending the Adelaide show!

fuck the sydney show is an all ages event. all age events are the worst, especially for bands like against me. You just want to be around people who can legally buy a beer and enjoy a band.

I say just set up a TV screen outside and let the under age people watch from there.

i'm a bit ehhhh about paying $40 to see em at the forum... would've preferred them playing an 18's at the corner

I've got tickets to both Melb shows. How long does the gig go for (roughly), including the support band? Because the one on sunday starts at 1pm and if it finishes in time, I can still make it to the footy. Cheers.

Apparently they're going to be super strict with the under age show.
A bit concerned.

What do you mean by strict?

Also, do you reckon the gig goes for 3 hours or so??

ID to prove being underage? Haha.

I dunno, I would think I could pass off as under 18 but I get asked for ID less and less these days despite my height.

And I expect there would be a support.

I reckon I'd get in no problem. That's so stupid though, heaps of underage kids wouldn't have ID. Like a 14 year old or something.

where are they playing a under age show? arthouse? are they playing a over 18s there too?

Strung out and no use for a name are coming out too...all our childhood punk bands are coming yay!

U18 = The Arthouse
18+ = The Forum

Last time I saw them was at the arthouse, and I'm pretty sure they did both 18+ and U18 gigs there.

Strung Out are so amazingly good both live and recorded. Their new album cannot be described by mere words.

But back to Against Me!, I'm seeing them tomorrow night :D they'll be hard pressed to top their last show in Adelaide though... I'm also really looking forward to see Crime In Stereo. Good band.

They played WAAAAAAY too much off their new album, they played 9 of the 10 songs off of it. The lack of classic Against Me tracks made their set far less enjoyable then it should've been but at least they played Cliche Guevara which was jiggy. Crime In Stereo were so rad, they totally owned the stage and for me were the band of the night.

Against Me! are such a good live band. Was totally shattered/shocked that they didn't play Unprotected Sex, We Laugh at Danger and maybe even Unsubstantiated Rumors at the Forum gig.

Saw them again today at the Arthouse, told Tom about my song grievances and asked if they'd please play them today. He said he'd see what he could do. Sure enough, Unprotected Sex popped up in the set despite not being on the setlist. And they played Danger in the encore. What awesome dudes.
