Yikes! So now i'm deciding where we're all meeting up!? I say the Fed Square stage so that in true forum spirit i can show you the artwork i did on city camp last year. Its basically just some permanent marker that says "Chris Cheney is a gun." I was pretty proud of it and its still there!

Just to let you guys know. In some councils, you can get fined for putting up posters/flyers etc. It depends on the area you are putting them up in. And they can actuially fine the band that you are supporting if they don't catch you. Just thought i'd let you know so you can check before you go around promoting and all that suff. Although, the CBD should be OK but dont take my word on that.

Different train lines sound good, but if we're gonna be travelling a lot maybe it would be better to not do this on a sunday, because public transport is pretty dodgy on sundays.. But then if we can't do it any other day it's probably better than nothing.

I've changed the flyer to "Out Now" and I just printed one out, I think the flyers are too big because the second one has been cut off at the D in end. Has anyone else tried printing them out and has this happened to theirs as well?

I've moved the contest over to this site since... well.... that's what we set up the army FOR! To promote, to kick ass, to bring the people together who want to get involved with Adeline and our bands. I know that almost everyone here was involved in the MTVU contests, and if not, they probably somehow missed it and would have!
The best thing I have found out about you guys, is that you're not in it for the prizes, or the freebies, but you're in it for the music. And that's pretty damn cool. But we still wanna show you guys how much we appreciate all the hard work... so with that done and said... let's get to our first mission as the Adeline Army!

I need each and everyone one of you to commit to promoting the *@&$ out of the video this weekend. Print up fliers and pass them out at the mall, the record store, anywhere you hang out. I was thinking about this before; about handing out fliers at concert.. and I had some ideas.

1. if you're not going to the concert just put fliers under the windshield wippers on the cars in the parking lots.

2. hand them out to people coming out after the concert is over

3. get someone inside handing them out to people just before the concert

4. hand fliers out to people while they are waiting inline to get drinks, merch or just waiting to get into the area were the concert is held

5. see if you can get the people who are working at the merch stands to hand them to people once they have purchased something

well that's all I have right now...I'll let you know if I think of any others

A street team myspace is a good idea, it'll definantly get people from all around the place joining in with street teaming and whatnot. Although you wouldn't want it to get lost amongst all the other myspace fansites.

I say just make it a normal page, as myspace deletes music profiles that arn't actual bands.

I'm finally getting around to buying a red t-shirt tomorrow.

I'll write out a proper tutorial so that whenever anyone decides to make one, they don't have to ask each time, they can just follow this.

1. Print out this Logo (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/Alison7272/Logo.jpg). Do a print preview, it should take up the whole A4 page.
2. Place the paper on top of your tshirt and get something sharp, I used a nail file, to poke a hole in each corner of every letter.
3. Poke a fine Sharpie (permanant texta) through the holes so it leaves a mark on the shirt.
4. Use a ruler to draw the outline of the letters. Take your time and make sure you're lining up the right dots.
5. Once you've got your outline, simply colour it in with a thicker Sharpie.
6. Then write "Street Team" underneath in your normal handwriting.

Voila!

Edit - I forgot about the logo on the back (odd, I wore my shirt yesterday!) You transfer the logo on the same way you do the text. It's really hard and takes a lot of patience. I suggest you start with the bass and work your way from left to right. I started with the drum which was the easiest bit, then found everything else hard. If you poke a few dots along the line, then start drawing the picture you should be fine. Patience is the key! :)
