The Coaster Festival is hot off the press and set to take Gosford by storm on September 20th of this year. The line-up for the inaugural event has just been released and it’s looking pretty damn fine.

Finally back from New York where they recorded their most recent album, The Living End, will be headlining Coaster in what is sure to be one helluva manic set. Joining the lads will those ultra successful Melbourne lads Kisschasy and Oz’s favorite Prog Rockers, Cog.

All the way from the US of A, The Matches will be heading along to make their presence felt with the rest of the Aussies – Something With Numbers, Blue King Brown, The Potbeleez, Bluejuice and The Lazys.

Hmmmmm, might wander on over after the Mariners game and see if I can't talk/sneak/jump my way in. Game finishes at about 8.45 - 8.50 at the latest, that's more than enough time (TLE are 9.20). :D

coaster was awesome considering that its the 1st one.

highlight was in WER wen chris was tuning his guitar nd forgot where he was up to. he asked andy wat the word where, nd andy started singing (not in the mic though :() chris had no idea. all he had when he went up to the mic was "fuck" hahaha

Chris screwed up a few times.

He had to tune in the middle of WER and forgot where he was up to.

When he jumped off the drums in POS he fell onto the ground.

His wireless pack screwed up at one point and gave heaps of 'white noise' (that was gay). He seemed pretty pissed off at Mat (guitar tech) for the rest of the gig.

Also at one point he had to run off stage and check something in the guitar tech area.

But i really loved it, these things are really picky things so most people wouldn't have noticed. Aside from those few hickups the show went pretty well, they sounded really good, especially in RTA.

WGSU was awesome, Chris sang the first half with just the crowd, no bass or drums.

I was just off the front fence, about three people infront of me so i was right it the shit! There were heaps of nutters and loads of pushing and shoving going on but i managed to fight for my well earned spot infront of chris.

I also met them earlier in the day, there was a 'Meet & Greet' thing where people could go and hang out with a band of their choice. So i got some stuff signed and a pic with them.

And I also got the set-list of Matt at the end!!!

Matt has a round-ish face with a short beard lining his jaw, he was wearing a black hat last night.

He's the only guy who gives Chris his guitars, he looks after all Chris' stuff. You shouldn't have trouble spotting him out, he stays on Chris' right just off the stage.

Cheers JayTee - I'll keep a look out at the show. I'm thinking about going early to try and get into soundcheck but not sure what time that might be and I have stuff on earlier that day so yeah.
