bass drum pedal through bass drum head...

i was just playing along with the real mckenzies... and 5 songs in the bass pedal goes straight through the head and gets stuckk... oh joy! :mad: luckily i got a double bass pedal so i finished playing with my left foot instead of right.. and lemme tell you.. my left foots a little stupid when it comes to playing bass drum.... anybody got any good breaking stuff while playing stories??

I haven't had anything break while playing (other than a truckload of guitar strings). I have seen a double bass bridge collapse (implode, really) in the middle of a song. Luckily it was a rehearsal, but it still scared the shit out of the rest of the orchestra.

Just the other day I watched a pair of clowns on a scissor lift pull the pin on a spigot holding a 42inch plasm screen 30 foot above the ground. They should have been holding onto it ...it ain't the way it should have happened.

That would have been shattering (har har). I was carrying the plasma tv into the house with my brother in law and I was just thinking how pissed off my family would be if I broke it. It didn't though.

But yeh, I don't have any music stories to share :(

I'm guessing he means that he has a double bass drum kit, cause i was confused too. and yeah, i did that with my drum kit also.

oh wow i did that too. I patched it up on the inside with bubble wrap and electrical tape :p sounds terrible though. on my eKit the spring on my kick pedal snapped.
I tend to break sticks that belt me in the face on the rebound. I have no idea how that works but they've come close to the eyes a few times.
oh my hi hats fold inside out when you push the pedal down hard haha they are so cheap
i've also been whipped in the face by a guitar string that broke too.

at a sort of impromptu gig at the drummer in my band's 18th he managed to break 6 sticks... there was sawdust on the ground haha

i actually only have the one bass drum... but the hole was barely small enough that the left pedal could still play without falling into the hole... if that makes any sense..

jeez that would suck to have a neck on a double bass breakk.... and i'm freaked out i'm gonna lose an eye evertime a guitar string breaks near me...
i feel lucky that i haven't really broken anything major yet...
