Just wondering..
The Living End is awsome! one of my favourite bands..
But as per usual Tassie has been left off the tour yet again. I can't tell you the last time you guys were here and its annoying .. we are part of australia yet you guys cant obviously be bothered with your fans that are down here ..

What About Longyearbyen!?
Tasmania aren't the only place to miss out.
Northern Territory don't get jack shit when it comes to tours from any kinds of musical act.
ACT misses out quite often too.
But as it has been pointed out, this is not the only tour they'll be doing. There are plenty more shows to come.

Really?
Who pointed this out?

We all pointed it out. They always do a few tours for each album and at least one that takes in each and every state and territory and Australia!
So i've still got hope for a tassie gig!

They wouldnt fill the dome, plus they aren't exactly a stadium band.

Two years ago they were here. But they did TWO all ages shows, one in Launceston, one in Hobart. Prior to that they did Falls and prior to that they did Gone South. Was Soundscape 18+...can't remember - think it was.
Lately there have been a lot more TLE shows in Tassie. But yeah, we do miss out a lot, and we have to put up with a lot of festivals instead of fun shows. It does suck when they announce a 'national' tour, but don't actually go to every state. And it does suck that we still aren't taken seriously as far as bands are concerned - hey Nic, how long were Preset tix on sale for? We sell out Falls almost straight away - how many peeps there...13,000 in Marion Bay last time I went. Not getting sales is no longer an issue for the more well known bands for sure. But there are other things I realise they have to take into account I suppose.
But one thing I get angry with is people who whinge, but aren't prepared to make even the slightest bit of effort to see their 'favourite band'. I still remember ripping into QLDers around 2003, who's excuses for whinging at the band to come and play more shows there from memory were because they were too busy doing other things on the previous show dates.
If you can't get into a show cos your underage, listen from outside. *has images of Amy outside LN gig*
If you can't get to many shows cos you live in Tassie, make sure when bands come down support them - buy tix, buy merch and tell all your friends about it.
If you've got something else on that you've already committed to on the night of your fav band playing you have a choice. A band can't tour around your prior social commitments.
but then again I can't talk. I used to whinge on here every week for Tassie shows, and I've emailed Rae on more than one occasion pleding my case too...poor Rae :p

I don't think the quantity of them was the bad thing. I think the last one I sent her was like a full page long, and probably not very professional :p
love you Rae xx

I 100% agree with everything you've said! MAKE A BLOODY EFFORT PEOPLE! :p
Yep, Soundscape was 18+.
Presets were on sale about a day or two..sold out on the first day and then a few hundred extra tix were added and those sold out super fast too.
As you've said, we've got no problems now with the bigger bands selling out venues. I wonder if my work would work well for a venue for a TLE gig?? Not sure...maybe.
Anyway...um, yeah, the last time i went to falls was 2005/2006 and that, plus 2004 when TLE played both sold out in no time and they had 13,000 and 15,500 festival goers!
I actually kinda hope that TLE do falls this year...i'll be ready to put up with another festival by then :p

When there's an announcement regarding U/18 shows, i'm sure we'll see TAS in there, maybe. Maybe an All Ages for TAS instead?

Tasmania is way easier for them to play a concert than Brazil :(

At least Brazil resembles civilisation.
