Old Unreleased Songs

Stumbled across these setlists and it got me thinking - I wonder if any of the songs ended up on MA, or are still unreleased to this day? Anyone who was around during this time remember anything, or any other songs that were played live that still remain unearthed (eg. Before The Eyes Of The Sun, etc.)?

On another note the "June 2nd 2002 - Evelyn Hotel" concert has into the red at the end ? Isn't that in SOE which was released 4 years later !

Yeah, Into The Red was played sometime in 2003 too. (BDO?)

yup thats right, into the red was played at BDO 2003, didnt change much between then and SOE recording though

Into the Red was a song they played and demoed I think, and everyone loved it so much I guess that they put it on SOE.

The band claimed that it didn't fit on Modern Artillery but was "too good to be released as a B-side". So they kept it until later, and they found a spot for it on State of Emergency.

Here's the current stance on Rats:

Rae said it would be a b-side on an upcoming single.
Someone asked Chris (at a show or something) about it and he said something along the lines of "it's too good to put on a single, we might save it for the next album".

That's all we know thus far. I thought Scott mentioned they'd be playing it on the tour or something though... Can't remember if that was true or not. I sure hope so.

good thing the room ended up going on MA, otherwise that album really would be bleak

i really just want the full version of rats, as a B-side, for me to be able to listen to now

I think Scott said something about it being too good for a b-side but it didn't fit on the album so next option is the next album *shrugs*

Yeah but think about how long ago these were played. Tainted love is the only one that (maybe) gets a play.

Sunday Bloody Sunday got played a lot around that time too.

I think with this album we'll (and when I me "we" i actually mean all "you" who get to see the shows) see a lot more b-sides played on tour. The tracks that made the album did so because they fit so well together. I don't think the b-sides are of less quality, just they didn't fit with the other tracks. I'm sure you'll get a b-side or two. :)

Now now, don't beg. I'm just asking about information, not for the songs. I just want to know if any of the songs did indeed morph into what's on MA, like for example Freedom Fighter becoming say... Hold Up or something. I'm pretty sure that's not the case, but just an example.

So Glenn, any tips on what may have become what?
