I'm convinced that the dumb medicare lady thought I wanted to give them over then and there. If she'd used a brain (sorry bad pun) and thought for two seconds all she needed to do was give me a form to fill in.

A couple of older ladies looked at me totally horrifed. I swear they'd never seen someone ask to donate their organs before. Or maybe they thought I wanted them out then and there too?!
But the looks on their faces pretty much summed up the majority of Australia's attitude to organ donation.

Although thinking about it again, I could have donated a kidney in advance, you don't need both!

They work at the place that covers organ donation, so they should be used to it now.
All I needed was a form and couldn't find any so I asked out loud and they're all like :eek:
