I love/hate that I'm playing another match that is going to be broadcast live for the world to see. Love cos it's exciting and the teams are going to be made up of some of aus' top players. Hate because I am not in my best shape and form lately and the fact that the pro's are playing means more people will be watching than last time with my reg team. :o
I hate how much net I have used today and yesterday :angry: might be have to investigate cos there is no way I did that.
I love that I found a song from when i was little and I still like it today. yay and also I love the other music I have been getting into.

I slept for 11 hours and was so bored went back for a nap for another 4 hours. I'm not gonna sleep tonight and I'm not gonna wake up at 5am for work.
I hope my back doesn't give out on me again. As much as I don't like work, it gives me something to do and I feel like a worthless lazy piece of crap when I don't work... even when I end up doing lots of housework instead. AND NOT TO MENTION I NEED TEH MONEYSS!! :D
I hate that I have to make an appointment with a psychologist. I DONT WANNA.
I've just realised i'm on my way to eating my weight in chocolate so i'm gonna put that away...

I hate how some people have such an incredibly strong emotional response to a topic that they will ignore any logic or rational thinking. Take for example whaling. A close friend of mine is currently not talking to me because I mentioned to her that Minke whales could be harvested sustainably. Makes me so annoyed.

Oh but I think what they're doing is fine. The Faroes are in the middle of the Norwegian sea and haven't got much other choice of food than to whale.. especially for winter time. They hunt 200 or so pilot whales a year and use the blubber and everything. Lulz at the people who bitch and moan about the poor poor whales. I bet they don't live on an icy island.

I saw a doco on those islands in economics last year. I think that they won't be able to consume whale for much longer, because there's some kind of toxin in the meat caused by pollution...

So I don't know if you guys have seen but a guy died in Brisbane over the weekend; he was coming home from nightclubs & jumped off a bridge & died.

Sounds stupid at first but the guy has done that kind of thing his whole life - he climbed Mt Killiminjaro, did heaps of bridge-jumping & cliff-jumping etc.
He's from Cairns, I met him a few times, a lot of my friends know him really well & a friend of mine from high school was his roommate.

Very sad :(

I looooove that this weekend is gonna be awesome. Jerri, Greg, Jar, Firebird, hot rod show, Area 7...can't get too much better!
I hate that there will no doubt be some unavoidable unpleasentness at a couple of those events but I love that I will have the people that count on my side so that's all that matters.

i think that's what puts a lot of people off initially.
I got thrown right in the deep end, we had to use them for media last year for editing movies and whatnot, and i'd never used one before so i spent the first half the year cursing them at every opportunity and being a total klutz, and by the second half of the year leaving every vis comm class to go to the media room so i could use the macs for my vis comm projects. Glad I learned, 'coz that's all we use in my design course!

END RANT.

I hate that my friend is obsessed with my brother despite his having a girlfriend and me and him telling her repeatedly that he's just NOT INTO HER.

I hate writing math essays because my brain explains things in a weird way that I can't put down on paper.

I hate having a condition that basically makes all my senses stronger so everything sounds like clattering chaos all the time and everytime I get hurt, the pain gets magnified and people who don't know about it think I'm some sort of drama queen.

I love fall break. Or autumn break if you prefer because I've had people get annoyed with me for saying "fall" for some reason.

I don't understand the huge war between macs and pcs. I have one of each, and after some practice, it's easy enough to move between the two. They both have problems, they both have good points. I tried ubuntu at school last year and it crashed the computer when I opened freecell. Though my boyfriend put it on his little laptop and it seems pretty slick. Shame there's shit all programs for it.

I realized the ridiculousness of the whole situation, facebook takes over lives!! And with only two weeks to finish basically a whole semester's worth of assignments, something had to give. I was getting pretty sick of the whole thing anyway.

I hate that my co-worker is lazy and I spent most of the day picking up his slack - he does the same work as us but is kind of the team leader so I can't really do anything about it.

I hate that when I finally got to leave work today , the bus didn't stop even though I hailed it.

I hate the telemarketers who keep ringing me and outright refuse to take me off their list even though I've told them 3 times I don't want their insulation.

I hate that I have to write an essay by tomorrow afternoon - I have a perfectly good essay already that would get me a decent mark, but it's one I wrote last semester for another subject so I have to change it substantially to be able to submit it again (stupid rule - I should be allowed to plagiarise my own work, dammit). I'm pretty sure I'd get away with it (it's a different faculty so they're unlikely to find out) but on the off chance they did I'd have no defence, and I don't know if I'm willing to take that risk.

At a recruitment company. Normally I love my job, wouldn't trade it for the world. But for whatever reason, everyone is irritated by everyone else at the moment (it's like massive PMS) and from what I can gather, all bar one of them have a problem with me & what I do as part of my role - but they're too scared to talk to me about it because they know the Managing Director will defend me (because what I'm doing is right).
It's all quite messy, really.

I think a lot of it is the age thing - they're all 35+ - and the one woman who understands where I'm coming from has twin 18 yr old girls, so I think she's a bit more understanding of someone my age & how we think.

From what they've said to her (which she relayed to me) they don't consider I have an equal opinion on things within the company because I don't have any experience outside of this job. According to them, they're more senior than I am because of their past roles - even though, in this company, we're all considered equal.
Interestingly enough, part of my role makes me the QA Manager - which would (in theory) make me more senior than them, if they're going by job title. I attend management meetings & make some pretty fun decisions - so they're full of shit, basically haha!

It's really frustrating, especially because the stereotype of Gen Y ("I don't want to start at the bottom, I want to go straight to the top!") always gets brought into it. I don't mind doing the grunt jobs, I don't mind starting at the bottom - I want to learn it all because I love the industry I'm in - but in the 18 months I've been with the company, I've learned a helluva lot.

Because of the role I do, I know a lot about every position in the company - I cover for everyone when they're sick and have placed several people in jobs - whereas they all do their own job & that's it. So, I'm not dumb & I'm not inexperienced.

I intend to take minutes of the entire meeting because I don't want things to be 'conveniently forgotten' ;)

I hate that someone at work has either drunk or thrown out what was left of my orange juice. Its not like it was a tiny amount either, I still had half a litre of my juice left.
I really didnt expect to come back after 3 days off to find that someone has nicked off with my OJ when half the people in here realise it was mine anyway.

So for those of you playing at home, the meeting went okay. 3 vs. 2 re: taking notes so I told them if it wasn't going to be minuted, I didn't want to be there and the 'ringleader' told me I was excused so I left. Then they had an argument for 10 min about the fact I left so then the lady who's on my side came out & got me and we went in armed.

It was alright, everyone talked about their frustrations and I was very clear in what I said and I think it will be better than it was.

i feel your pain... signed up to the gym, went for a week solid... got real sick, then went away for 5 or 6 days in a row (i forget) and here we are. I'm off to my first sesh in 2 weeks, this is gonna hurt in the morning!!

My barfday on monday, folios due thursday, canberra on friday and then infinite opportunities from there on!!

Am i strage ? Ive been told im strange because my girlfriend broke up with me earlier today but i diddn't take it badely. She said she felt that it was awkward with us going out ( we were best friends in advance ) and that she would like to go back to us being like we were before, See i understand that and i have no problem going back ( I mean i still love her and all and it sucks balls that it happened ) but everyone is like coming over and saying that i should be pissed and that she is a major slut and shit... Now i feel bad for her when shes coping shit just because of her feelings :(

I resigned from one of my jobs today. Have been there for almost 5 years. It's going to be weird not being there at all.

I love that Bodyjar is only a week away.
I love that Nikon have made a $1500 reduction of the price of a camera that I want.
I hate that even though the camera is $1500 cheaper, it's still going to cost $3600 just for the body.
I hate that I don't have $3600 :p
