although reading the comments there I'm not really within the target age group, so maybe that's why I think the parkour, the wanky bikes and the inappropriate transportation of large animals in the back of small cars isn't very cool.

Also funny cos I didn't see any of those things while I was in Canberra for a week (phewf).

Ah, yeah, our thoughts exactly.

Is Tassie the only state running this ad or are other states subject to its lameness too?

Surely there is more awesome things they could have put in it. For instance we are moving over because:
Awesome mountain biking
Awesome bike commuting (no, not crappy scooters)
Awesome gvmt jobs that pay a decent amount of money
Awesome purpose built new city
Awesome Ruddy
Awesomest pizza in all of Australia - NY Slice
Awesome non-existent nightlife that suits us anti-social people perfectly
Awesomely close to Melbourne/Sydney

haha, I knew you wouldn't be keen on the idea

The only reason I went to uni was so I could have a job that paid the most decent amount of money for the least amount of work/time/responsibility possible and actually let us take our overseas holidays we've easily saved up for. That's what public servants do, right??

We're not big city people, but we've out grown Hobart/Tas. And we're definately over friggin hills! We're looking forward to going on long driving adventures on our weekends and riding to work during the week :)

I figure it'll only be for a couple of years until I get my CA or CPA (lol, like I could do anything for more than a couple of years) and then we'll go overseas - Canada, NZ, Germany, UK, US, Japan, etc - to work

But, there might be a problem with this plan:
I hate Grad applications
I hate that I'm already hating them and I'm only on my first :p

I love that I actually did sort of decent on my senior exit project-- I think. I'm not sure if one 3 and one 4 is good, but it's better than I thought because I was sure that I would fail.
I LOOVEEEEEEE that senior exit projects are over and done with for good now!
I hate the whole idea of the senior exit project because we've already done heaps of work and written a 10-page essay, so it's stupid that we should have to make a presentation and essentially be judged on our social skills rather than the actual work we did.
I hate that everyone keeps telling me how horrible and hard college is going to be.

Any of you that are in college, is it really as rigourous and horrid as people tell me? well, I assume it's probably different in australia, but maybe someone can give me a vague idea...

I was technically supposed to graduate last June, but I didn't have enough school credits so I stayed an extra semester instead of a full year as I only needed four more to leave the school. So after completing those courses, I got to finish grade 12.5, five months early. Hope that made sense!

I hate that I'm no longer working Soundwave...

I entered a contest to be Soundwave Production Intern, and the contest is drawn on the 24th, winner is contacted on the 25th. So I emailed the volunteer coordinator to let her know that if I won the contest I would be required to pull out...

To which she said "I am unable to wait til that date to confirm or cancel your position, so I will have to retract your position". I emailed her back saying "what if I found somebody to fill my place, in the event of" but she responded within the minute saying "I have already found somebody to fill your shift".

So if I don't win that contest, I'm S.O.L!

I hate that when I arrived at work at 6 last night I was told there was no one coming in at midnight to relieve me because they are all a bunch of useless pussies that are happy the completely screw me over. So I did a 12 hour graveyard shift on no sleep. Came home, had a massive 2 hours sleep. Hopefully sold my car at 9.30. And I'm off back to work in half an hour.

And they wonder why I have a countdown of 300 odd days written on my hand

It was her 21st yesterday, went out for it last night. OMG big night. I lost the left earring of two pairs of earrings - they were my favourite pairs, I'm so upset!
Think I only managed 2-3 hours sleep or something stupid like that.

I hope my doggie's being well behaved, he bought out all sorts of things from the spare bedroom this morning and put them in a pile near the kitchen. I had to stop myself from laughing when I saw it.
He went outside for a bit after that and chewed on HIS toys of which he has plenty.
Got him a kennel today so that gets delivered tomorrow morning, at the moment he loves his pillows and doona arrangement though so after spending $160 on a kennel I hope he uses it!

Oh hellz no!!
With the exception of mum's kitten they suck arse, have no personality and only come over to you when they want something and spend the rest of the day fast asleep or constantly bugging you because THEY want to be fed.
We have our friends cat STILL and every time Chris comes in the cat has to go in the laundry coz the little shit tries to attack the dog.
I'm really not a cat person so wouldnt get one but I guess some cats can be ok

We don't want kids so Chris is like our "fur-kid" so we're always running around after him and he's spoilt rotten lol

Oh, you didn't meet our kitten then. She had insane amounts of personality (personality goes a long way /Pulp Fiction). She was like a really intelligent human, just small, covered in hair and incapable of speech.

EDIT: oh, and she was a complete bitch most of the time too. But we still loved her

Hi-fives back!!

We decided we'd be the most shit house parents ever and we're too selfish within ourselves to have kids coz we still like to go out and do stuff and we know that just because we had a tiny human baby that wouldn't change.
You cant stick a tiny human baby in the backyard with some food, water, toys and shelter and expect it to amuse itself for the next 5 hours or so. lol

So for society's sake and our sanity, there will be no breeding from us!!

However that baby bonus would be nice...................... :p

Now now.. You're not a junky.

We've been together nearly 3 months now but the conversation came up whilst out with friends before we were even together and we both said then that we hated kids and didn't want any.
Regardless of that we talk to each other about anything and everything.
When I say hate, other peoples kids are ok coz you can give them back but the majority of kids around at the moment are total ass hats.

You should always consider it though Nick, nothing is 100%!

Oh yeah.. I hate other peoples kids but I'll love my own. Kind of goes without saying. I really want kids someday, but not for a long while yet.. I'm still a kid for a while yet and It would curtail my sometimes reckless lifestyle too much, and I don't want that to happen. I'm even on relationship ban at the moment.. Self imposed until the end of 2010.

(urgh that sounds so wanky, and no i'm not "beating them off with a stick",,, I've just decided it is in my best interests to be single for a while to see what it's like) and that's my story.

We can choose from 6 months or 12 months. Rego rates tend to be dependent on the type / size / engine size of the car you drive in most states. So if you drive a Hummer you're gonna be looking at a lot more than someone with a Getz. (However, you'll be having more fun...possibly crushing multiple Getz's as you try to get a park at Coles)
