Speaking of austar, did anyone know that Austar and Foxtel are two completely seperate companies?

I thought they must have had some connection, having the same channels and programming and all. And that Austar was just for more rural places as a rule.

But nope, so when we move, the austar has to be discontinued and we have to pay to reinstall foxtel instead...which will be substaintially more then the $14 it costs to move an existing austar box..

i hate that.

It's still Christmas eve here. And I just got back from the step-grand parents.

She's a little too proud of this country, lol. She made all the grandkids blankets with a maple leaf on them and made matching pillowcases. She also gave us a picture frame with maple leaves all over them, a flag, and a hat with the flag on it. She also got a group picture with us holding our flags so she could send it to Canadian Living Magazine. :p

I love Christmas.

So far my day has consisted of:

Making breakfast for the family - croissants with ham and cheese
Opening pressies - got a new hair dryer, perfume gift box, cds, itunes gift voucher, choccy and money from pop :)
Going to work for 6 hours - wasn't too bad this year. Heaps more kids there than last year though. They can be so draining!! :p Also got free champers from work which will come in handy either tonight or tomorrow when we have our proper family xmas day - mum, myself and my brother all had to work today.

Now I'm back at home, eating cheese and drinking sparkling apple juice! haha

Hmmm, just realised that its only a few weeks until my birthday!

Christmas dinner at my sister's fiance's sister's place wasn't comical unfortunately... it was painful. I think it was the most elaborate and posh thing I've ever had to sit through. My family were definately the outcasts. My face hurts from fake smiling.

Ours wasn't bad ... Opened presents, Maltesers for breakfast, watched TV, went to neighbours and got more presents, ate lunch, I slept, watched TV, swam in the pool and tried to convince the dog to swim, watched more TV, went to neighbours for dinner and now I'm back here!

My sunburn is worse. Less blistering, same amount of redness, but the top part of my nose (between my eyes) has swollen so that my eyes are squashed to the side of my face and there's like a 2 inch gap of fluid-y crap. Yay-ness.

Oh man, I ate and probably drank too much. Lots of prawns, ham, turkey and then for dessert chocolate mousse, cheesecake and pudding. Anyhoo, I think I just had my laziest xmas ever.

I did the usual cooking/wrapping pressies/being santa/having drinkies thing all night, Lu joined me til about 4am, and was at the bakers for fresh bread at 6am, but then home to pop White Christmas in the dvd player & went straight to sleep.

Xmas cake was a little well done on top cos I left it in there an hour longer than it was supposed to be on account of the sleepingness - whoops - but cos the fruit had been soaking in brandy for the last 3 months or so, it was still lovely, moist and tasty. huzzah!

So woke up le brats at about 12.30 (apparently I wasnt the only one being lazy this xmas) and finally did the pressie thing. Normally they get me up at some stupid hour, so it was weird doin it in normal light at lunchtime.

Popped the roast in and went back to sleep. Bill finished it. Woke in time to sort vegies and eat. Then back to the couch to watch Indiana Jones, which led to more sleep.

Just woke up to Caddyshack. Xmas is over and I'm wide awake. Bizarre.
