Rock N Roll Train is now out. What do people think about it?

I've just gotten a promo copy and will listen to it for the first time in about 5 minutes when I find my headphones.

Well it's sounds like AC/DC.

But I guess that's just it, doesn't differ from any other songs they've written.

I listened to it.

it was alright. Will no doubt grow on me. I think I'll leave it in my car and just play it over and over and over again

Haha, that was my first thought :p

I like it I guess, but I've only listened to it once via myspace.

I thought it was dead boring.

If it was the first song they ever released it'd be great but it sounds exactly the same as the 100 AC/DC songs before it

tbh i've never really been into acdc despite quite enjoying their show a few years back.

the new song is ok, nothing terribly exciting, i think i like their older stuff more though...hate the artwork for black ice, i take it smirnoff haven't seen it yet??

yeah i agree
but its because everyone says "i wish they still sounded like they used to" *sigh*
they need to keep there acca dacca blood, but still progress as a band:)

I heard it on their myspaz and you have to admit....same formula they've been using for awhile, not to say the song's bad but i can't complain.

They just got sick of Airbourne doing AC/DC so they thought it was time for AC/DC to do AC/DC :p

each to their own, but im really getting sick of people saying how much it just sounds the same.

Do you actually get it ? the answer is obviously no.

Honestly... 30 years on, do you really think they are gonna be any different ?? We are talking about ACDC here...

Thats the beauty about them, you know exactly what your gonna get.
There isnt another band in the world could prove a bigger example..

I guess i am biased cos I am a massive fan, and i actually really love the chanted chorus. Its better than anything off their last album thats for sure.

Greatest line I heard for a while the other day was a bunch of shred guitar players chatting about acdc 'haha i bet the new album is gonna be called 'another way to play 3 chords' and this other guy yells out to them 'nah its called, YOU FUCKERS DONT GET IT!'

and then you get retards saying "its soooo very acdc"... maybe thats because it IS acdc lol@them. god people are stupid

anyway, the chorus is alright and the solo bit. other than that its too argh. it doesnt flow

Yeahh i must agree.

Look at Metallica. Their music changed style from their earlier days of thrash and stuff, and there are heaps of haters out there who don't like them now coz their music has changed to a more hard-rock/metal. (their new album will be more like their older stuff though..but shh)

And then if a band doesn't change or evolve over a period of time, people get annnoyed and say that it sounds like all of their earlier stuff.

It's kinda a no-win situation IMO.

At the same time there's lots of people that give kudos to Metallica for not just re-hashing the same stuff over and over again (even if on the whole it didn't work out)

That's true. Load and Reload were definitely different from the first 5 albums, and had some great songs on each (but please... don't mention Slither. Ever.)

Speaking of the mighty Met, Death Magnetic has leaked and can be found on the interwebs - i've preordered the coffin boxset and am going to buy the album normally when it comes out anyway. It's pretty killer. Grumma, get on it!

Death Magnetic

If you replace "ac/dc" with "metallica" then my quote has another meaning.

Check it out..

I agree with you 100% although i haven't heard this new song but i will when i have time.
I've only just gotten into them recently cos I've been watching the Plug Me In DVD. They're in my top 10 (possibly 5) favorite bands.
I would like to hear a variety on this album, like styles from each of their albums

another way to play 3 chords ac/dc are the only band who could pull off that off.

for anyone who believes him, Molly Meldrum was hinting that AC/DC would be playing in Australia during December

I can tell Thunderstruck apart, but until the lyrics kick in that's honestly the only one.
