Go up to a punk rocker, play Boulevard of Broken dreams and they'll think you're a smoking gun at guitar.

Or Thunderstruck.

I'm no RHCP's fan but I got given Dani California to play and it's piss easy and sounds cool.

Dude just learn the main riff for Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, and everyone will think you're the shit. Works everytime.

Hitchin A Ride, Nice Guys Finish Last... um practucally everything from Green Day is piss easy and the older stuff sounds cool. Also if you can nail WGSU? intro it sounds good and easy. The verse and Chorus are really easy and even the solo isn't as hard as it sounds.

Johnny B Goode, (the song from Back to the future in the dance)
by Chuck Berry, Easy song really, if you know your pentatonic scales, But it sounds great and everyone gets really impressed

Except that it's the first thing almost everyone learns. :p

i am so sick of hearing metallica,
I used to walk into my High school music room, and all the Hard Core try hards would be like, "Yeh we can cover metallica, Lets play Enter Sand man 500 times, the nothing else matters for an hour! woo!"

I just wanted to strangle them

We have Green Day at our school. I love Green Day, but not when a beginner guitarist and someone who's never played drums before are continuously playing Holiday.

back on topic, Pictures in the Mirror, i just learn not too long ago, pretty easy song, just fast, But sounds awesome live

On the live in Rockhampton version, for teh solo it sounds like chris is Harmonizing with himself or his guitar is out of tune.

Another easy song that sounds cool, Zombie - The Cranberries

Our school didn't even have a music room, or music whatsoever haha

Stairway to heaven sounds good and isn't too hard to learn.

In our music room the younger kids are always thrasing out crap. So we have enforced a ban on "bet u look good on the dancefloor" and anything by that lame excuse 4 a band called Simple Plan! it's a good system in which noones ears are punished.

Ez songs include, Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana, Dammit - Blink 182, and More Than You Are - Grinspoon. They're not great songs but thats pretty much what i learnt on so there u go! best of luck.

Basicly Anything From Green Day, Nirvana, Sum 41.

The backing guitars for most metal songs are piss easy. Basicly only 2 chords in the entire song
