for their acclaimed album and single ‘White Noise’.

Ah thats awesome news! Realisticly, I beleive they have a chance in 3 out of 4 of those. Single of the year is a shoe in for Gabriella whatsername. Best rock album, I reckon its theirs. And they are a 50/50 chance for the other 2. So my prediction: 1 or 2 awards. Go TLE!!

Ah yes, we were talking about this in the other thread waiting for the noms... I think they have a shot at all of them but they aren't a shoe in with any. It seems that win one, you win all... for instance, best group is usually the same as best rock album etc. If they get best album then they would have to get best rock as well.
I think their best chance is best rock album. Single will go to something more pop or higher selling - presets or that potbelleez thing. They have a real shot for group as well. Best album will be tough but then again, what is the competition? My thoughts on rock album's main competition was gyroscope... Good luck TLE!!!

Out of all the album of the year nominations, TLE are the only rock group which leads me to believe that they have the best rock album... The only way they will lose rock album is if they go for something newer.

Single of the year is not likely. Faker, that gabriella chick, presets, potbz, veronicas... so not likely there.

Group, very good chance, I don't know how they judge that? How good mates are they? Its silly cause silverchair won best group but they are the biggest one man band around. So good chance there but could be anybody.

Best album, I think there are a couple in there that are really just honorary nominations but won't cut it. It's down to Presets and TLE. I have a gut feeling presets will get it...grrr

my prediction 1/4, maybe 2/4.

hmm I post in both forums and I like each band for different reasons... I still favour TLE over gyro as they just have so much more material and all good. Gyro has some amazing stuff but also some so so stuff. I was onlt saying it could be cool to see them win because they haven't won anything before. The fact that they only have 1 nom to 4 is also another reason. But I would be equally happy, its win win. I just hate arias where one band takes out everything (unless i'm going for that band haha) It took grinspoon 4 albums to win 1 aria so gyro might have to wait till next time too... I wish them both luck.

Yes they can be sucked and no i dont own any of their albums and never plan to in the future. The only song that i have ever liked was beware wolf but that is annoying now, just like the rest of their crap i have heard either live or on radio/internet/tv :)
