if you havent already heard, the internets are trying to rick roll the mtv awards. to do this, go onto the voting site:

http://ema.mtv.co.uk/vote/#_ (http://ema.mtv.co.uk/vote/#_)

and at the bottom of the page, it gives you the option to nominate someone unlisted for the different awards. select "best act ever" and type in "Rick Astley"

http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee61/kidsilcon/rickroll.jpg

now wait for the luls

Hahaha this is great.

Though the MTV peoples would see that and just award it to the next highest vote getter

Because it will make the 13 y.o girls (MTV's target market...) very unhappy that shakira or some shit didn't win, and thus would not be beneficial for MTV as a whole.

...

There's a script floating around on /b/ that auto-votes for you. You can do like 2,500 votes an hour or some shit.

The world is never gonna give him up!
anyway, no chance of him winning this, even if he does it would probably be rigged, see above post for reason

Rick Astley is a chart topper, and pretty successful. he used to be a drummer and also a rather large sex icon :p he has every right to win, and obviously people are voting for him because they want him to win. just like the next act with the 2nd biggest number of votes.

.. 13 y.o girls ..
Your signature contradicts you. Type out your DAMN words too.

half the shit you complain about are abbreviations too, and must be just as common if it annoys you so much. idiot

Whatever, there's a difference between a simple and commonly used abbreviation, and taking the vowel out of every single word in your sentence.

Besides, if it makes you happy, I changed my signature after I made that post. :rolleyes:

I'll have to keep a lookout now, eh...

"Rick's fans have obviously decided that he deserves recognition as a pop icon and no doubt they are determined to make sure he wins on the night," said the award show's producer Richard Godfrey.

Most guys on /b/ are running firefox ad-ons that automatically vote. I'm certain that there's way more votes for astley than anyone else.

Also, MTV now know about rickrolling.

haha, I didn't know /b/tards were on here.
this is the script:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<title>RICK ASTLEY FOR PREZIDENT</title>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2"/>
</head>

<body style="margin:0">
<center><b>RICK ASTLEY MTV AUTOVOTER :: HTML VERZION</b><br />
Refreshes every 2 seconds with another vote!</center>
<iframe width="100%" height="550" style="bottom:0px" frameborder="0" src="http://ema.mtv.co.uk/vote/#!fields[/url][category]=Best+Act+Ever&fields[artist]=Rick+A
stley&action[suggestions]=Vote"></iframe>
</body>
</html>
