hehe cute!

i only have a few things signed (letters from the old street team, a setlist from late 2003/early 2004, the photo that came with the the pre-order SOE cd and my photoshop challenge booklet... - it's my favourite but it had a black background and they signed it in black permanent marker... so i can't take a picture or scan it so that i can brag)

i wish i'd been able to get it signed by them in person but alas - i haven't been able to catch up with them since 2003/2004 :(

Trav's full signature. Not his lazy signature.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y49/tlephotos/DSC00544.jpg
Chris's signature. The other boys where busy talking to their parents/family so I didn't bother.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y49/tlephotos/DSC00543.jpg
Self Titled Vinyl. Though for some reason, it was signed by Andy. Meh.

I also have, but not going to take photos cause it means I have to dig them out of the cupboard and stuff:

Signed School Diary from 1999, Framed SOE album, Signed Street team letters, Tshirts etc. Also somewhere I have Andy's full signature, not the shortened version.

When I first started getting into TLE I bought a book and filled it with Living End lyrics and photos...

Me and a friend used to lay around on her garage floor and play music, and learn all the lyrics by writing them down.

Its a work of art that book I swear.

You can kind of see a bit of it next to Andy's sig...

Here's a picture of my guitar, CJ, after I got it signed at Rove Live when mum took me down to meet the boys.
Unfortunately Scottty turned up later so he couldn't sign my guitar.
I have plenty of other signed stuff, I just need to take photos of it then I'll post them up.
In the meantime, here's CJ:

How come you had to leave straight after?

I've found that if you wait back for half an hour to an hour or so you generally m eet them. Depends on the venue though, I guess.

OK, here's the rest of my stuff that I didn't have pictures of the other day.

Firstly, my most recent purchase from this tour. Got it signed on the 20th at our tent shin- dig!
For those wondering why Andy wrote "be safe" it's because I told him I was going to Queensland the next day and was shit scared of flying (having never flown before).
Chris wrote "Melbourne rules ok..." as I was going to Queensland and he knows I like Stray cats so did a take on "rockabilly rules."
And I missed out on Scott signing my t-shirt because of security ushering them back inside. Now that that's been said, my t-shirt:
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j114/tlefan/signed1.jpg

And my other t-shirt that got signed at the JB hi-fi signing back in March, (I think it was March?!)
Chris wrote "hey Lauren." Andy wrote "Hi Lauren!"( after asking how to spell it a couple of times! haha) and Scott was a smart ass and literally wrote "2 Lauren Rock On"
Just thought i'd say that as the pictures aren't very clear!
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j114/tlefan/signed2.jpg
My used guitar pic that Rockstar Matty handed to me after the 21st gig is in that photo too. :D

Are we also including photos that we've gotten with the guys in this thread or not?
(It's ok, I won't post up the ones of when I had red hair!! haha)

I have one that’s personally signed by him. By Scott and Chris too.

Have a ChrisPick aswell, which I got the other week, I was thinking about getting it signed, but then I saw Chris walk out the side/back door and I thought I dropped it, because I wasn’t expecting him to come out so soon. And because the pick was green and it was dark and I was on grass, I figured I’d lost it. Checked in my pocket, wasn’t there. But after TLE left, I checked my pocket again and it was there.

Also the Andy, Scott, Chris posters plus the two group posters, which are all signed.

I have at least 4 of those signed photos.

The SoE cardboard cover type thing, I have that signed by Andy and Chris

The Coke Live version of the What’s On Your Radio? single, signed by Chris.

Plus a couple of others things I’ve already posted.

And this:

I haven't got anything signed from the Trav era unfortunately. I started off well with the Andy Era, i got the first few singles signed. Then i was stupid enough to be all nice and i got a bunch of posters signed for my friends...instead of getting my own stuff signed, so i missed a few opportunities.
Most recent is the following picture...it's the only photo of anything signed...note the spelling errors from both Chris and Andy (Andy could be excused..he's just a drummer!)

http://www.23rdprecinct.net/Hotlinks/Thebby1_06/TT_14.jpg

Scott's handwriting makes me hot in the trouser.

And they stole my texta after that...i realised about 2 days later!

The first time i met them, i had a backstage pass, and it was pretty awkward, cause it was just me, one other random guy that i grabbed and asked if he wanted to meet them cause i was too nervous to go by myself, and the band in this tiny room. I was so nervous i didn't say anything for the first 15 mins and i just kept staring at my feet, then proceeded to just babble moronically for the rest of it. All the other times i've met them it's been so much easier when there are more people there!
Though the fact my pass said "Groupie pass" on it didn't help with the nerves...

The Dying Start
11-20-2006, 10:14 PM
Hahahaha yeah. It's good to have other people around. I've only met them on my own once...

cammo
11-20-2006, 10:20 PM
I was comfortable backstage because I was MEANT to be there, if I scammed passes of someone that would be way awkward, especially being in their dressing room.

Even still, when it was just me, Chris, Andy, Scott and Stephen it was fkn weird and I froze but they were awesome and started conversations with me.

Jessii
11-20-2006, 10:39 PM
Yeah i was waiting to meet up with Al and just grabbed the nearest guy in one of their shirts and asked if he wanted to come backstage and he got super excited and now whenever i see him at a gig he tells me he owes me his life.

The Dying Start

I remember when I first met them.

They were playing 15 minutes away from school, so I cut class the whole day and watched people load in then they turned up, got stuffs signed, then pissed off.

Then attended the gig that night (it was an 18+ event, but the manager of venue was family friend)

The 2nd time I met them, it was my 21st. I was ratshit and Scott couldnt figure out who was more drunk. Me or him. That was fun.

Then I met them later that month at the BDO and Scott and Chris remembered me.

Then there was the whole L&L gig thing that was pretty cool. and other random times meeting them

but then best part was when andy turned to him and said 'myspace? what's that?'

Haha! He could've been joking or playing dumb.

Hugs aren't all that bad, I asked Andy for one, he didn't have a problem with it....I could see why kisses would be a problem though.

Yeah at a gig i was at, someone mentioned Myspace and Chris was like "Yeah everyone needs to move and get away from my space."

Patient beyond belief...and not just for us "real" fas, but some of the shit i've see them put up with from (sorry) teenage girls is verging on horrific.

Got any stories?

I was too caught up in the moment and it was also a last minute thing. I don't usually ask/expect much.

At one of the 18 plus shows there was a very drunk girl who wanted a photo with Chris and they had to take it like 5 times cause she kept pressing the wrong button, and she was throwing herself at him for the photos. The girl could barely stand up!

I'm pretty sure when I got my photo with Andy he put his arm around me, coz I hate being touched so I try and avoid it as much as possible. And definitely the last person I'd throw myself at is my friggen idol. I guess I was still in 'mosh' mode where everyone around you is squshed from all directions so I just deal with it, otherwise I probably would have jumped away. Eep.

Yeah i have a horrible photo with Chris, cause he put his arm around me and i jumped away, so we are both standing awkwardly not looking at the camera.

I just don't think you should even be touching the guys at all, apart from a handshake orwhatever. They're your favourite band, not your father.

When my friends and I were hanging with the guys after the last San Francisco show, I asked all of them if it would be okay to get and picture and they all put their arms around me.

At the bar, when it was time to leave, Andy gave me and my friend a hug and a kiss on the cheek good-bye (not prompted) and when we saw them at the next 4 shows, we got hugs and kisses as greetings after the shows.

It wasn't a big deal.

And I don't think the guys mind all that much as long as there isn't any boundaries crossed. :)

Yeah, that's alright. But it's the forcing oneself onto them that becomes disturbing

Sarah
02-04-2007, 03:43 PM
And I'm sure that when they're on tour away from thier friends and family, a hug from a familiar face (whether it be a non-pyscho-fan who goes to all their shows or whatever) could only be a nice thing! They must get so lonely (, oh so lonely)

Kacky
02-04-2007, 03:48 PM
Yeah, I wouldn't force myself onto them for hugs or anything...I'd ask to see if it's alright first...and that's exactly what I did.

Half the time I was just standing there being really shy...and of course, by the time I had to leave, I was starting to talk more. Ugh.

Yeah, that's a bit weird. Though, everyone who I saw interacting with them were very respectful. Even the teenie girls.

It still felt weird being one of the older fans waiting to me the band.

One day soon, when i have my white falcon and they do a signing I'll be getting it signed, but if they do a signing before then I get the guitar I've got now signed in silver, only cos its black and would look pretty cool...
I have my belt signed by the boys on one side and Red Riders on the other side but i haven't taken a pic of it.

I also have the signed promo photo which they sent out with pre-ordered copies of SOE..
And I have a signed copy of SOE which my ex boyfriends mum got signed for him. He figured I'd appreciate it more than him. He was right.

2nd time i met them, i said "I don't really care" when he asked if he could sign Roll On, and i meant it as in that i didn't mind he wasnt in the band back then (the cd was for my cousin so i didn't think she would mind if he signed it" but he didn't let me finish my sentence and said "Fine i wont then" and stormed off real fast and i was like "Well.. i could of phrased that better.."

Yeah pretty bad. I'm hoping he would of forgotten about it pretty quick though!
I have bad luck with Andy, i saw them on boxing day and bought wrapped xmas presents for them, and accidently gave him the one meant for Chris, which was a acdc arm band thing, and when Chris caught up with him he was already wearing it, and as he took it off he went "Aww and it was a present i actually liked too!"

i met the TLE guys already and had them sign a flag that i bought at the gig, but how do u bring cd's and stuff into the venue? Do u just hold them, cause i always thought i'd get questioned by the security guys? So how do u do it?

Jessii
02-16-2007, 08:22 AM
Lots of places let you take bags, but they just search what's in them first, and if you have to put it in a cloak room, hopefully you can get it back before they come out and sign stuff.
About getting vinyls signed...(i think i might of postes this before but can't remember when) way to bend my vinyl Chris!:

I brought SOE and the LLTW single with me, but only got one signed. I got a shirt signed that I bought at the show, after though.

hahahah! good job chris! break a fan's stuff why don't ya.

and i just bring a large-ish purse and stick the cd's in there. if it has a shoulder strap, it can just chill through the show, no biggie.
i've never had any trouble with bringing bags into a venue, but i know some places are sticklers.

Kacky
02-16-2007, 08:32 AM
Haha. Yeah, some venues give you the ol pad down.

When we were going to Green Day, my mom got frisked by a male security guard...and after he was done she's like.. "I expected more then that!".

Jessii
02-16-2007, 09:12 AM
I thought only female security were allowed to pat down females...

My bf wanted me to go see mcr with him, and i was suprised how easy it was to get past security, they searched my bfs bag but didn't notice me, then i got stopped by another asking me to put my bag in cloak room and i said "Oh i was told that it's only for backpacks and i'm allowed this bag." He went "Oh ok.." and walked away. I was surprised that worked!

Kacky
02-16-2007, 09:33 AM
There was only 30,000 people going through the gates, they couldn't be bothered with sorting out people into separate lines. They needed to get people in before it started.

Yeah, some security is easy to get past, while others are just assholes.

02-16-2007, 12:29 PM
haha yeah. that might be just a tad strange.

but when i went and saw green day a few years ago, they had the line split into girls and boys, and then you had to get searched (by the same sex), as well as your purses/bags. they also made veryone throw out their studded belts. i was thinking 'are you crazy?? everyone at a green day concert is going to be wearing a studded belt.'

yet somehow, they let about 10 dozen people with weed in.

The Metro where lots of bands play here, is a normal nightclub every other day. At My Chemical Romance it was funny watching all the kids freak out when they put the rules up, which had the dress code, which is only enforced when it's just the nightclub. But all the kids thought it was real and it said things like "No shorts, no thongs, no jeans" ect. The kids around us were freaking out, but once we saw one ring her mum to ask to be picked up so she could go home and change we told them how it wasn't the rules for this gig.
