So are you gonna post pictures or what? :D
They cost about $6 here. Siiiigh.

They usually cost that much here! I bet Aaron got the ones with the weevils!

Ummm. No they don't. Unless its all you Whyallas jacking up prices.
Aaron

No-one took a photo of the stash! Unsurprisingly, some were eaten quickly and the remainder put away. But as to the weevils, the trick is to eat around them. :p
One particular variety is 'chocolate mud'. I don't rally see how it is any different to the other chocolate varieties, but oh well. (No, it doesn't have mud in it. Grow up, geez!)
I'm yet to start those vanilla ones.
Oh! Who's heard of the Lindt (http://www.lindt.de/) cafe? (photos: 1 (http://www.jenius.com.au/images/LindtCafe_DarlingHarbour_April2007_001.jpg) 2 (http://www.jenius.com.au/images/LindtCafe_DarlingHarbour_April2007_003.jpg) 3 (http://www.jenius.com.au/images/LindtCafe_DarlingHarbour_April2007_004.jpg) 4 (http://www.jenius.com.au/images/LindtCafe_DarlingHarbour_April2007_005.jpg) 5 (http://www.jenius.com.au/images/LindtCafe_DarlingHarbour_April2007_006.jpg) 6 (http://www.jenius.com.au/images/LindtCafe_DarlingHarbour_April2007_007.jpg) 7 (http://www.jenius.com.au/images/LindtCafe_DarlingHarbour_April2007_008.jpg) 8 (http://www.jenius.com.au/images/LindtCafe_DarlingHarbour_April2007_009.jpg) 9 (http://www.lindt.de/chocowelt/schokolade_wein/0092.jpg)) Well, y'know the Swiss/German/whatever chocolatiers Lindt & Sprüngli? They have two cafes in Sydney... apparently the first of that chain in the world or something. Anyway, I have a friend who works there and she brings all sorts of awesome stuff to uni (things like cakes with dents in them that can't be sold). I went there on Friday night while out with some friends, and good grief do they have so many flavours! Those Lindor balls are sold in about 10 flavours, and blocks of chocolate come in a few dozen. Just like the Lindt chocolate from supermarkets, but... so many more varieties. I bought one with pear in it, because it sounded interesting. Quite good, actually. There's one with vanilla and lemongrass, which I didn't try... But mentioning vanilla Tim Tams reminded me of that :p
See, there was a point to that diversion...

we have a lindor chocolates store in our local mall. they give out free samples to people who claim to 'not know what a truffle is.' needless to say, everytime i go in, i seem to have forgotten what a truffle is! :D

They sell it at my hairdresser in Perth for $22.95 if you want me to get you some.
I like Blue Mayhem, Purple Smoke, Blue Velvet, Iguana Green, Wildflower and Sonic Green. I think i'm gonna go to hairdresser and see if they know what each colour fades too. It's boasts it's the longest lasting semi permenant hair dye, and it is pretty awesome, when i got mine done in Pimping Purple last novemeber, it was still bright pink in March.

Mmm. I could go for one of those right now.
Except I'm eating Lightly Salted Potato Chips. :p
Well, the version of smores that I've only ever had is slightly different.
I think it got modified by the girl who showed me. She'd been on an american holiday camp, but probably couldnt find the right ingredients.
Not sure how it would hold up to the original, but it's pretty yummy all the same! :)
Basically, what we use, is 2 Chocolate Wheatens with the chocolate sides facing inward, and the melted marshmallow between.
None too shabby, let me tell you! :D

what's a wheaten?
i'm guessing a cracker with chocolate on one side, because that would make it almost exactly like a smore. and it makes sense. :D
I'll just stick with my Tim Tams and chocolate digestives and stuff. One thing to try is pretzels dipped in melted chocolate..the salt and sweet contrasts perfectly and reduces the sickliness of the chocolate.
I've seen these signs around for a while, and when I finally took a picture of and uploaded it, I looked properly. 'Find Madeline Macan' (or McCann). I'm guessing the coverage isn't as big in Australia, but in the past couple of months, it's been hard to escape hearing about her here. It's sad, but is releasing balloons in South America going to help?

Amy... did you NAME yer thing-a-ma-doo-dad?
Johnny the FReeZA summit was a music industry workshop type thing for FReeZA commitee kids, Freeza is a victorian government initiative. There's like 76 commitees throughout victoria made up young folk who organise all age events and such....
The PA workshop was kind of helpful. Reminded me that our group doesn't really know what we're doing and should really find out.
But yeah, all the other talks we had pretty much the same of last year, just with different people.
