yeah, i'll keep that in mind, thanks *M. i was needing a photo for a project so i pinched my mums camera and tried taking one :D notice on the path the thing that looks like blue nuclear ooze :p

toook this photo when i went to lorne with my family last time we went on a holiday/weekend trip....been aaaaallmost a year since. didn't know how to use a camera (and still don't to be honest! :D )

oooh - i don't care if you didn't know how to use the camera then - i think that shot of the birdy is really good - could have been a bit sharper focus but even so... animals - and anything that moves is a bitch to take photos of!

hence my extreme case of jealousy towards people who take good shots of people *cough* Neryssah *cough* and all those gig photographers out there!

I have a really cool photo of my street that I took at night, but the flash makes it look as if it were during the day. I might scan it later on, WITH MY SCANNER! Hehe, the excitement still hasn't worn off. :p

My brother found a hat at work, he's a garbage collector. Don't worry! Mum washed it before I put it on.

It isn't just a burning man. In the ealry 1960's vietnam was under the control of the catholic based Diem regime which suppressed buddhism, anything from banning daily buddhist traditions like flying flags to detaining and murdering buddhist monks.

The situation escalated so far that Thich Quang Duc, the monk in the photo along with two others hoped out of a car on a busy intersection, Thich Quang Duc assumed the lotus position, the two poured petrol over Thich Quang Duc and he lit himself on fire. He burnt to death without making a sound.

He made the ultimate sacrifice, and became an immortal symbol of belief regardless of religous ideology... Almost as to say "Some things in this world are bigger than you or I", and that human strength and determination will always be stronger than any physical pain that can be inflicted. His body was cremated after his act of self-immolation, but mysteriously his heart was pulled from the ashes intact. Crazy, huh?

It isn't a new photo, Im sure all your parents have seen it before. Most of the world have seen it before.

Its pinned to my wall because it has more relevance today than ever... instead of suicide and murder through hatred and anger it shows self sacrifice through compassion and love.

I don't have a problem with why he posted the picture at all. Nor the sentiments it carries.
I was purely stating that Sammas should have put at the top of his post that that kind of image was going to be posted.
I can see where some people may be highly sensitive to images of that nature, I didn't want people getting offended by it.

I wasn't expecting to see that image when I scrolled down before which is why I was initially shocked.
I personally am over the shock and understand the image now, I was purely stating that for future references maybe you should warn people of the nature of the image before posting it.

New horse! Just got back from our first show. We picked him up on Saturday morning and went straight there :p
Won the jumping on Saturday, but didn't get anything because it wasn't being recorded properly.
Today, won half of my classes and came second in the other half.
Ended up coming first overall :D

Thanks :) I'm normally a contrastwhore, but I think I went a bit far with that one :p It's maken the colours really bad and just looks shifty overall haha. Plus, there's no real definition between the cards and the dice, and the shadows on the cards look awful.
