I had a dream last night I was fighting some guy, and he was in a pool, so i threw a pokemon in there to distract him, and then he was fighting me and i was beating him up, and then the fight was over and we had to climb out of the pool and take a flying fox to get away from it. it was weird.

Some kid at my old school, was a total nerd (mostly maths), even though he was in mainstream classes at the start of the year (we had mainstream, SBAE (top kids in the school, excluding ATP) and ATP (top of the state). I think he went to SBAE sometime during the year. They created a Myspace for him (junior_einstein or something) and it has a bunch of maths photos and crap. I don't think he knows it exists.

We made a website for our IT Tech at school (This was before myspace). He was a fat downie who always drank iced coffee. It was called travisafatsack.com, and it just generally listed all his inadequacies, and some photos and stuff. He locked it down at 3 seperate addresses. I later went on to work for the school IT deparment long after he'd left and I brought it up (not mentioning it was me). Every staff member had seen it and lovd it, but they had to ban it for obvious reasons. I laughed.

I'm guessing no team. :p
I haven't played club cricket since the end of my Form 3 season. After that season i had to "commit" (couldn't play club cricket)to playing in the school's 1st XI side once i got selected. Me and another one of my mates hold the record in our school for being the youngest players to ever make the 1st XI team, which is rad. The next couple of years were rad aswell because i got selected for the Auckland Western Districts Representative side and played a couple of seasons with them.

I should get my friend Nick, who's one of the fastest bowlers in NZ for Under 19's, bowls like 130km-135km and he's 17, to bowl a delivery to you. HE LOVES bowling at peoples heads/rip cage area.

Grumma
02-25-2007, 10:55 AM
Eh.

I've batted without pads to people who bowl 110+ before at school and I've had bean balls bowled at me on a regular basis by one of them.

If the ball is at my ribs I'm alright at getting the bat there; I just can't actually play many/any run scoring shots

Marv From NZ
02-25-2007, 10:56 AM

There's a BIG time reaction difference between that pace and the mid 130's sorta pace. You got about a second to see and play a 110km delivery and about less than half a second to see and play a 130km delivery. Doesn't sound like much of a difference, but it is when you're out there facing it lol.

Grumma
02-25-2007, 11:05 AM
I've faced 130 before and I was able to hit the ball as long as I didn't have a huge backlift (which I normally would).

The thing I struggled with most was playing too far forward to a good length/just short of a length delivery

*edit* Oh and knocking over my stumps trying avoid a bouncer :p

Marv From NZ
02-25-2007, 11:07 AM

What are your opinions on recycled water?

Grumma
02-26-2007, 11:39 AM
I reckon for outside taps it's fine. For taps in the laundry it's fine.
The water we use to wash the dishes in would be fine . . .

Idunno. I reckon they should just start recycling it and not tell anyway . ..

GoodOrEvil

It is recycled. And technically all water is recycled, so I'm not too fussed about it, as long as I don't end up drinking someone's shit one day.

Yeah I found that out when I was researching for my essay.
Places like London and Singapore use it, and some places in QLD.
In the paper a while ago they did a survey and made people taste normal water, then recyled water with blindfolds.
They said it didn;t taste any different.
My friend said the recycled water probably tastes better because of extra flavour.

well there isn't really anything else to say... so how about a joke!

A couple were going out for the evening. They'd gotten ready, all dolled
up, dog put out, etc.

The taxi arrives, and as the couple start out, the dog shoots back in the
house.

They don't want the dog shut in the house, so the wife goes out to the taxi
while the husband goes upstairs to chase the dog out.

The wife, not wanting it known that the house will be empty explains to the
taxi driver: "He's just going upstairs to say good-bye to my mother."

A few minutes later, the husband gets into the cab.

"Sorry I took so long" he says," Stupid bitch was hiding under the bed and I
had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out!

Then I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from scratching and biting
me as I hauled her arse downstairs and tossed her in the back yard!

She better not shit in the vegetable garden again!"

The silence in the cab was deafening.

I laughed so hard at that one!

I do food shopping sometimes. My mum does a weekly shop, but I never remember to put stuff on the list, and most other stuff she buys is lameass, so I just buy real food from the village on the way back from school. I was disappointed with the choice of lettuce yesterday though - limp gem lettuce or a biiig iceberg lettuce that would go limp before I can use it. Yes Glenn, limp.

Haha, same here :p Tis funny to watch/hear them talk about it!

Since I've turned 18 (Jan 06), I've never been asked for ID. That was up until last weekend when I was out having dinner and we went for drinks afterwards and the bar dude just goes "ID". I think it was because the ground outside the bar was on a slope, making me look twice as short as I really am! :p
