Back at Highschool a "cupcake" was when you farted into your cupped hand and then threw it at someones face.

I can't even begin to imagine how weird/disgusting a "cupcake party" would be.

...and then throws it at someone???/

Glenn did in highschool apparently.

I should have a fantastic weekend ahead. A driving lesson, a haircut, brief shopping trip, then a house party.

OH MY GOOD LORD...

:O

i didn't know it meant that...

i was laughing out loud for about five minutes when i read your post Glenn!

people from surrounding offices came to see if i was ok... i couldn't breath either...

i'm still giggling now... :O

:)

i didn't mean that sort of cupcake party... but i shall know never to use that term again...

(for the record we were looking at a recipe book dedicated to cupcakes - the food - yesterday and decided that we'd all make a different recipe and then have a cupcake party... :p)

oh - and have a fun weekend Jake! :)

It's amazing how much two girls will talk about their personal life and relationships when they're right next to you at gym. I guess they didn't care.

It's also amazing how stupid some people are. When I got to gym, I walked past two ladies and a heap of kids who were all watching as two of the older kids jumped from the 2nd level of the multi-level car park down to the 1st level (ground).

Today marks the 51st anniversary of James Dean's death. Our family is refusing to watch the Grand Final this year, which will be the first year I can remember that we havn't watched. So instead I'm settling in for a James Dean marathon.

Because I can:

My bro got Bronchitis the other week. I didn't get it but i got a cold, and it got a bit chesty. I'm over it but i'm currently in the "get rid of all the junk in your system" phase, so i feel great but i have mucus coming out all over the joint. I bark like a dog too, and i've got some nice thick ones to chew on.

wait - i think i was wrong before... i think my left foot is bigger than my right foot 'cause i always have more problems with that one in a size 7 shoe... (ie it's too cramped :p)

i shall find a ruler and have a more considered post later! :p

and in other random news:

i know someone who's middle finger is shorter than her ring and pointer fingers - it looks strange but she's cool!

CRY BABY (1990 movie starring Johnny Depp) gets released on dvd tomorrow yayayaya. Hopefully I'll be picking this up on the weekend along with the TLE dvd, provided I have the cash.

Eisenhower is President. Rock n’ Roll is king. And Wade “Cry-Baby” Walker is the baddest hood in his high school. Johnny Depp heads up a supercool cast as the irresistible bad boy whose amazing ability to shed one single tear drives all the girls wild – especially Allison Vernon-Williams, a rich, beautiful “square” who finds herself uncontrollably drawn to the dreamy juvenile delinquent and his forbidden world of rockabilly music, fast cars and faster women. It’s the hysterical high-throttle world of 1954 in director John Waters’ outrageous musical comedy.

Old people are funny. I've only got one grandparent left. Mum's Mum. She's 89 or something and you'd seriously think she was 60. She's the most unbelievable human specimen ever. She'll probably have to go in a museum one day. She's still living at home and that. It's great.

Carla's gran is hilarious. She's a little Ukrainian woman and she's doing really well also. She's so funny...every Christmas at the family do she starts crying and saying how it's her last Christmas. Aparently she's been doing the same thing every hear since her husband died like 7 years ago. She's gonna live forever too.

My Grandma is invincible. She lives in Australia, but tries to come over to Ingerland where her 2 favourite kiddies live (her other one lives near her but is an idiot), about once every 2 years. She usually stays with my auntie in London.

A few years ago, she left my auntie's flat and went shopping. Standing at the bus stop to get to the shops, 2 kids accidentally knocked her over. They help her up, she decides she's fine, goes shopping etc. and comes home. Later that night, my auntie sees her take a painkiller and knows something is wrong (my grandma..painkillers..not something usually seen together). At the hospital, turns out she had shattered her elbow and needed a couple metal pins put in...

That annoys me! When people are named after their grandparents! My mum was named after her grandma and she has like 2 first cousins with the same name as her because THEY were named after the grandmother too!

that's what's happened with my mum - pretty odd - but the live in different countries so that's ok...

it kinda makes it interesting to trace the family tree but who knows... i'll probably end up naming my kids Magenta and Cave...

(i had a friend called Merlin who despite getting ribbed when he was a youngin' really suited and dug his name!)

oh - and Jake - your Grandma sounds really cool... definately made of tougher stuff :) it's good she comes to visit so often!

It was fun - really really pretty. I'll post some pics up later.
Lots of sandflies though which sucked, but aside from that, it was great!
Got sick while I was down there - threw up yesterday and fainted in the shower this morning which was goddamn scary, and now i have a headache and my stomach is all nauseous but aside from all of that, it was awesome!

it's a fashion reality show that you don't want to watch because it is utterly ADDICTING and you feel completely lame for making sure that you don't forget to turn on a TV at 10pm on Wednesday nights.

contestants have to design and throw together outfits in two days, then the outfits are modeled on a mini-runway and judged, and then somebody gets kicked off. it stays interesting - one of the challenges was to make a 'couture' gown, while another was to make an outfit entirely from recycled scrap material (newspaper etc).

it's great thanks, very comfy! I almost fell asleep in it this afternoon when I decided to test it out again haha

I'll have to take a photo of the quilt cover soon. Even though I say it myself it's pretty cool. Can't beat the ol' furry leopard print doona covers!

Who wants to hear a funny story about my day?

We went to a legal studies breakfast which was alright, then on the way back to school, stopped at Gloria Jeans. The girl who was driving, Angela, was panicking because she thought we'd be late but when we pulled up at school, everyone else had stuff too - Macca's, Donut King, Sushi Express etc.

At lunch, I was playing handball and sprained my finger - the ball tapped the top of my ring finger on my right hand and now it's all swollen and a huge bruise and I can't bend it so yeah! That was hilarious haha - I can never injure myself normally.

After school, I got a lift to work with my friend Nathan - we dropped Jess and Phil off first and at each of their houses, he would do a burnout, go around the block and do another.
When I was climbing into the backseat (it's a two door Honda Prelude) I tripped on the door trim and ended up face first into the backseat with my legs hanging out the door - extremely amusing!!

And yeah that was my day.

My finger is so sore - it's sending pains up my wrist and I've taken two Advil but it's doing nothinggggggg.

Caity...Sushi Express? Queensland is weird.

And Steph, I'm pretty sure I heard about that program, it sounded quite good, a bit of a different take on 'Pop Idol' and whatnot. Never got around to watching it though.

At the moment I'm watching Prison Break and The Office and loving them both. Also need to watch 'Heroes' which I accquired...

i should quit my job and travel instead - anyone got couches they'd be willing to let me sleep on?

(i have one already organised in Tassie - thanks to the lovely Lewisham lass - Colezy! :))

now i just need some in other states (and territories too i suppose) and i'll be set!

maybe see if you could get a job transfer and stay in another city for a while. but then again, not everyone works at huge globalized coffee corporations like me.

I'm worried about what could happen by the time I visit Australia again.

"um... well... Kim's in Finland, Miriam and Razz are in Los Angeles, Rob's in Canada and Helaine's in the looney bin"

i work for a privately owned company, so transfers are kinda not an option... :(

i'm finding work very zapping at the moment... frustrating really 'cause some days i really love it... i think i'd prefer to travel though!

oh and Steph - we've been looking for someone to do some days in our little privately owned and run coffee shop here as part of the gallery - everytime someone says - man - we need someone else to work the coffee shop i instantly think of you... you're a bit far away though...

Too bad Julian.

I remember one week in primary school i sprained a finger a day on my left hand by playing footy. By the end of the week my hand was caning and i still have big second-joint bones from it.

Does anyone know how to train a dog not to urinate inside??
I have a psych assignment to do and the first question is about a dog that urinates inside the house and we need to find a better way, other than rubbing its nose in the urine, to stop it doing it again.

It might sound weird, but yeah. I dont have a dog, so once I have a method, I can explain it using proper psych terminology!

Look on Dr Harry's website or something like that.

And in Bruce Almighty he gets the dog to use a human toilet.

Julian

Yeh he does that but the dog always pissed on the couch so he dragged the couch outside with his dog.

On that It's Me Or The Dog show on 10 she said to pick up the dog when it is peeing because it will stop as soon as its bum leaves the ground and then put it outside. Another method was keeping the dog on a lead near you and when you see the signs that the dog is going to pee, take it outside.

If it's supposed to be on psych, look up classical and operant conditioning, that should help you quite a bit. Lots of technical terms you can use in relation to that too, might get you more marks.

You should watch "It's me or the dog".

I can't really remember how she fixed that problem though. I'm pretty sure she just took the dog outside alot and when it started to go to the toilet she'd use a word....so like "wee wees"...so the dog would associate that word with the action. I can't really remember the rest though.
