I had never heard the line in this title prior to some comedian's joke about it last year and therefore I am obviously a terrible citizen of Australia.

Best version I've ever heard done, was Area 7 playing it at a gig in Ballarat - those bogans really belted it out!
Proud day to be an Aussie, that one.

Maybe so, but it's never a proud day to be from Ballarat.

There, there, we still love ya.

And perhaps my "Proud day to be an Aussie, that one. " should have had a  or :o tacked on the end to indicate the cringeworthy fun it was, but definately not pride filled... :p

I think I grew up generally oblivious to swearing in general. I was unaware of the c-bomb until I was about 15.

I'm the complete opposite. Mouth of a sailor since a young age. Not sure how that happened, my folks rarely swear.

TELEVISION. Seseme street totally has hidden swearwords that only youngsters can pick up.

I like swearing in other languages. My favourite is TABERNAC! which is about the worst thing you can say in Quebec.
