No, she got it coloured. They took skin from her stomach to make a new boob for reconstruction, so all they did was add the pinkish tone to give it that nipple look.

Did they try and give it a realistic look, or did they just give her a big pink dot.

Realistic. She has no feeling though.

I can deal with an hour travel time :) An email would be swell!

I'm looking at getting it done in either jan or feb, which is when I am over next, so I want to try and book it in advance.

What are you getting done?? I've set myself rules so that I don't get something and then regret it.. No ink until I'm 21 and not allowed to get something until I really badly want it for at least six months..

Also no asian writing, but that goes without saying!

I can't wait to get my second tattoo!

(No plans of what as of yet, so nothing to really ask about :p)

Don't be a racist.

I didn't think I was.. But racism is such a confusing thing.. I'm probably racist because I have white shoes.

The Asian writing thing.. A guy i went to school with got Asian letters tattoed on his boob only to find out they didn't say what he thought they did..

Oh shit.. I just looked down and realised I was drinking a white coffee, I have a white desk and white tissues.. I'm using white paper and when I look up a number it's from 'whitepages.com'... Fuck.. I never realised I was so racist..:ohmy::D

No no no.. Your not racist at all! That's where you've got it wrong..

Your open minded, free thinking and enlightened..

You see, when someone has exclusively black things that's not racist.. It's cultured. BUT.. i have all white things... so I'm pretty much as bad as Hitler..:D

See this is the whole double standard thing that I don't understand.
Its ok for black people to be racist to white people?

I do also have white things in my office too but the majority is black

Yeah I'd say you're pretty much on the money.

Dave Chapelle can make white jokes until the cow's come home, but a white comedian can't make black jokes.. Don't take me the wrong way... I think Chappelle is fucking hilarious!

I just find the double standard interesting.. I was told by someone recently that it's because... "they were oppressed by white people"... This is apparently why the double standard is there.

I find it irritating more so with groups and things than comedy.. for instance: there can be awards or meetings for groups which are exclusive based on race or gender.. But not if they're exlclusive to white people or males (that's a whole other kettle of fish!).. I know people can say that there are groups exclusive for males or causacians, but they are usually frowned upon..

I'm sure people would label me racist for mentioning these things.. But by definition I'm not... I'm not having a go at a race for the way these things are.. And i'm not attacking a particular race in any way. If anything, I think it's probably pale skinned mofos who have gotten just a tad (a fucking lot!) too P.C. and made things the way they are.

I know plenty of people who can laugh at Chapelle taking the piss out of white people (essentially stereotyping), but shake their head and talk about writing angry letters when someone takes the mickey out of Asians or Negros..

I just find it all interesting. very interesting!

now i await someone to march me to the gallows

Hmm, to be safe, I'd change it. Or someone might have to pop a cap in yo bitch ass.

And for the most part, from my experience white people pretty much aren't allowed to say the N word. This dumb white guy I know went up to a black guy all "sup n****" and the guy punched him in the face.

What im talking about is probably just what you hear as characteristic of a deaf person's speech. Its just when you make sounds whilst breathing in rather than out. It happens in some actual languages too.

I was considering getting that done, but on one arm only. Then I had dreams of it getting ripped out and it changed my mind :p

My (first) tattoo is going to be in the inside of my wrist, but down the arm a little. Sort of.

It's hard to explain :p

So...anyone else got suggestions of places for me?

I like that spot actually.. I think that's where my first will be.. But i might yet chicken out and get my first somewhere hidden like on the outside of my ankle or something.

http://www.eternalinstinct.com/ I haven't been tattooed here but I know a hell of a lot of people that do (including Wakker and Cam from Jar) and Deuce's work is incredible. He also designed the logo on the front of Bodyjar's self titled album. It's in Northcote on St George's road. I go to Taboo Tattoo in Blackburn but it's probably a bit far to travel, however their work is great. Whatcha getting done? Pics?

I desperately want more ink. But sadly, I'll be waiting for another 6 months or so til I'm off the blood thinners. Booooo :(

Well it's mostly just a simple text tattoo, but I'm still playing around with the actual layout of it...I don't know which way to have it facing either. It's going to say "Everyone Deserves Music".

Later on I might add some other detail around it. My problem is that I'm not much of an artist, so the design isn't coming along very quickly!

*edit - thanks for the info!

Also, it's going to be roughly in the same spot as this one

Meh, I'd rather eat a packet of ratsak than be stuck in ICU on breathing machines from pulmonary emboli again!

Are you looking at script sort of text or block, Nic? Most tattoo places are pretty good with text tattoos these days because there's a fairly high demand for them. So I'm sure any decent artist can fix the layout for you when you get there if you're still not sure about it.

Nicole - if it's not too late I'd recommend either Dynamic tattoo on Swan st in Richmond (it's about 50m from the train station) and is where Lily Allen went to get her Simpson(?) tat on her wrist or Voodoo Ink on Carlile st in St Kilda (which is where I got my one done)
