yes, posting here again because I am helpful and have ideas.
Does anyone happen to have a copy of the questions and answers to that trivia quiz that happened a few years ago? From memory there were 100+ questions so surely that would help out.

Okay, let's start with school. Andy went to Aberfoyle Park High School in Adelaide and Scott and Chris went to Wheelers Hill Secondary College in Melbourne. Then Chris went on to do a music course at Box Hill TAFE.
That's my first fact for you but you might already know that! I shall now think of more...

"The Longnecks" was named after the beer bottle. You have stubbies, or longnecks. Despite my previous opinion, I originally thought that Longnecks were the Longneck dinosaurs like in Land Before Time.
The track Carry Me Home, from the album Roll On, appears on the video game Guitar Hero II
The track End Of The World, from the album MODERN ARTillery, was featured on the soundtrack of the video game Tony Hawk's Underground 2.
Guitarist Chris Cheney has appeared on stage with fellow Aussie rockers Jet in Melbourne. He also features on Jet's DVD Right! Right! Right!, playing guitar on the song That's Alright Mama.
The Living End have won 8 Jack awards (Australian live music awards) since the awards' inception in 2004. Of these, two were for Best Guitarist (Chris Cheney), one for Best Live Performer (Chris Cheney), two were for Best Bassist (Scott Owen), one for Best Drummer (Andy Strachan), one for Best Live Band and one finally for Best Live Performance (on Channel V).
The Living End have performed on Australian talk show Rove Live six times, more than any other band.
The Living End performed alongside Normie Rowe performing two of Normie's hits Que Sera Sera and Shakin' All Over at an awards ceremony.
Bassist Scott Owen appeared on Australian legend Paul Kelly's Foggy Highway album, playing bass on Song of the Old Rake.
Chris Cheney appeared with label mates Green Day in Melbourne on 17 December 2005 at the Telstra Dome performing Bobby Fuller's hit I Fought The Law.
The Living End hold the record for the most consecutive entries in (Australian youth radio station) Triple J's Hottest 100. The band have made the chart every year since 1997.
The band got it's name from the movie Rock Around The Clock.
They recorded their fourth album, State Of Emergency, in Byron Bay, a small NSW coastal town.
Their 2000 album Roll On was compared by some critics to legendary British punk band The Clash's breakthrough album London Calling, due to the varied musical influences
The Living End won two ARIA awards in 1999 for Best Group and Best New Artist.
Sceond Solution/Prisoner Of Society won an ARIA award in 1998 for Highest Selling Single.
Their double single Second Solution/Prisoner Of Society became the highest selling Australian single of the 1990s.
Their song Wake Up was the opening song to Broken Dreams II, a mixed CD featuring rock songs from mostly Australian and New Zealand bands
Their first break came in 1995, when they landed a support slot in Green Day's Australian tour after sending a T-shirt and demo tape to Green Day guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong.
Bassist Scott Owen purchased his bass guitar with $1500 he had planned to spend on a new car.
The Living End's track "Prisoner Of Society" will be featured on Guitar Hero: World Tour.
The first ever song Chris wrote was the 8th Track on their Hellbound EP, 'So Lonely'.
Andy joined the band after being reccomended by a guy called 'Rusty', who is a mutual friend of Scott and himself.
October 6 2006 was "the night the music died" for Chris.
The Living End have shot a video for their song 'Strange' but it was never released, and the guy who has the tape just refuses to share it, that barstard better sell it, that tape has gotta be worth alot.
Some Covers TLE have released:
Girls on Film - Duran Duran
Leilani - Hoodie Gurus
Rising Sun - Cold Chisel
Guitar Band - EasyBeats
Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2
I Just Seen A Face - The Beatles
I Get A Kick Out Of You - Released by Various Artists
Tainted Love - Same as I Get a Kick Out Of You
10.15 Saturday Night - The Cure
Blue Moon Of Kentucky - Bill Monroe/Elvis Presly
Girls Talk - Elvis Costello
Growing up, Chris was obsessed with 50's music.
The Living End performed with Yeah Yeah! for the song 'Out Of This Game'
I copied some, manually wrote up some.
And in case they ask this. The Living End are nominated for 4 Arias this year: Best Group, Best Rock Album (White Noise), Album of the Year (White Noise), Single of the Year (White Noise).
Study your ass off.

The track Roll On, from the album Roll On, appears on the PS2 video game World Of Outlaws Sprintcar.
Oi cockbag, It's West End Riot. if you want proof, i'll even load the disc into my ps2 and record it then upload to youtube. also, its WoO 2.
Oh I also read in an interview ages ago that Chris said his first electric guitar was a Torch and that it was fluro yellow
and maybe memorize how well each album/single did on the aria charts and the awards they won ...being an aria event and all there is bound to be a question or two on that :p

from mick's site http://www.thelivingend.5u.com/index.html
Well there isnt much to say about me.
Im Michael, some teenage bum from a small town in the blue mountains called Warrimoo which is 50km west of sydney.
I always change what I look like so at the moment I got longish dyed chris cheney spikey hair and browny/green eyes. Also I`m about 172cm tall.
I`ve been a fan of TLE for about two and a half years now and one of my best mates Jordan got me onto them when he heard Closing In (We are both guitarists).
I live with 2 old ppl (Ian and Helen) hehehe and they treat me really good hehe.
I`ve been playing guitar for quite a long time now and for the past 14 months I`ve been transcribbing the guitar parts for TLE.
Im currently in a four piece band (two guitars, bass, drums) and we play vertually anything from jazz to bluegrass to rock to old school punk.
As long as we like what we do we dont care what we play! Which is a good thing I guess.
And Jordan (my other guitarist) and I are really really good and our drummer is ranked 4th in N.S.W and our bassist is really ugly.
In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer by myself or with my friend Dave and we also have an indoor soccer team going which is cool fun!
Back to myself and The Living End: I own every australian cd release they have got out plus 4 demo cd`s and even a demo tape of Hellbound that came out years back! Also I got my All Torn Down single for free and it was signed by the 3 boys. hehe Cool hey!! :)
Well thats pretty much it. Sorry I dont have a pic here but when I get a good one I`ll put it up.
My E-mail
manumick20@yahoo.com
My icq number is 67053832.
My MSN is chris_j_cheney@hotmail.com but dont send mail there cos I only use that Hotmail for MSN.

I was just going to say that. I've never seen the show but I'm sure they don't make it too hard or it's no fun for the people at home because they can't play along.

they were pretty tricky for me.
eg: What number did One Said To The Other reach on the Triple J Hottest 100 in 2002?
thank god it was multiple choice, I had to pick one that rang a bell.
Kristen
10-13-2008, 10:32 PM
Yeah I'd expect them to make the questions hard when they're trying to find a contestant for the show, but maybe not as hard on the actual show. Because they'll want the person to at least get one or two questions right.

Ahh hope to God it's gonna be easy. They're probably gonna try and dumb it down a little, but I'm scared that outta nowhere a really random thing's gonna come out.
And yep, I've met 'em before. I still get nervous though haha. Now with a camera...that's gonna be worse lol, I'll be fine though.

I mean dead easy for someone like one of us. I mean how much time do you think mtv will spend trying to learn as much about TLE as they possibly can to make the questions.
I reckon they'd be tricky, but common knowledge for anyone who hangs around here

Correct for all three - and don't worry about the middle names - I didn't know them, was wondering if you did. Turns out the correct answers for the other two are "Scott Bradley Owen" and "Andrew Douglas Strachan".
Might be worth considering their birthdays, though I doubt it'll get that intense.

Chris - Jan. 2 1975 - 33 years, 10 months, 12 days
Scott - Feb. 14 1975 - 33 years, 9 months, 29 days
Andy - Aug. 20 1974 - 34 years, 1 month, 23 days
Yep. I'm crazy lol
I'd try and watch mtv interviews with the boys as well since they asked a question on one in the initial round, I'd also know which songs are singles and when they were released

Good suggestion Kylie,
5) What year did Trav Demsey join the band?
b) 1997
18) What was the song released on iTunes in 2004, that has not been on any other TLE release?
d) Live It Up
I know that these 2 are wrong. Trav joined the band in 1996, as for the iTunes exclusive in 2004 I don't know, but Live It Up isn't even on iTunes, and the song is on Four on the Floor EP, AND Timor Leste/

yeah, like I said there's some wrong ones in there.
Although, at the time, the only way you could get Live It Up was on the 4 on the floor ep...the quiz is a little out of date :p
In addition, Chris was their first manager (99.99% sure) and the guy from Bodyjar didn't give him the name Bird (according to Micks site) although, it was by far the best out of the choice of options given (ie. no option was correct)
I thought Ross did give him 'bird', 'd-bird' and all the other variations. Nervous Wreckage or somesuch.

Four On The Floor is a U.S. iTunes Only release. And as Sarah said, at the time of the quiz, that was the only released version of Live It Up. The mixed version came out on Timor Leste later that year.

The choices that were presented at the time:
32) According to Chris, six heads are better than what?
a) A kick in the bum
b) Four heads
c) Three eyes
d) Two noses
Did you get extra points for correcting them?? :p
The choices for Bird were:
a) Ross from Bodyjar
b) Stevo from Area 7
c) Billy Joe from Greenday
d) Trav Demsey
...I didn't know, I guessed, I figured it was a process of elimination!
And from Micks site:
*Chris got his nickname dbird from "the dirty bird".Their tour manager was with them in a van and they drove past KFC and Chris asked for them to stop in and for some reason the tour manager said "KFC!?!? Yuck! You dirty bird!" and thats how it all started with his nickname.
Who was their tour manager at the time?
Well, I guess its a good thing I didn't win, hey? :p

I distinctly remember Live it up - original version being on itunes for a limited time because I saw it and was going to buy it and didn't and then a few months later I wanted it and it was gone. However, I think that was more around 2005/2006. I don't know what it was released under but I know it was there...
