I'd assume Punchbowl in Shitney.
Suburb with bogan reputation. Trent's doing them proud.

Surprisingly, the wiki entry doesnt focus on the battler tag.
This is about all that gives a hint at what it's like:
"Punchbowl Boys High School has been described as the toughest school in Australia, although students and teachers have criticised these comments, branding them as "incorrect and exaggerated". The school was notorious for having a large barbed wire fence that faced inward. "

Punchbowl, it's like 10 mins away from me. It's a shit hole and it seems most people that live there are of a middle eastern background. It's pretty ugly, definately not the nicest place in the world, you wouldn't really go there unless you lived there or were just passing through and especially wouldn't go down one particular street alone because it has a bad reputation for being rather dangerous and scary, even in daylight haha.

I don't find Little Britain funny either. And I have no idea really what the other two you mentioned are. I just hear people talking about it all the time. Clearly I am uncool. :p

Urgh... he's an actor...

Well perhaps Amy has insider knowledge rather than an internet rumour to base her story on?

Let me tell you a bit about my experience of Punchbowl.
My parents have lived there for over fifty years. So have most of our neighbours. My parents are of English decent, (some generations back) and our neighbours are from varied ethnic backgrounds; two are Italian, one family fled Lebanon in the war in the early eighties, two are from Portuagal, one lady is Scottish, and two are Greek, some are also of Irish, Scottish or English backgrounds way back (what a lot of Autralians would term "aussies"). Most of these neighbours have been here for years. Some have come and gone, but most have stayed. Their children are in their forties now, like me. Without exception, all of these children are university graduates and are working professionals.
What I am saying is, it is a good community. We are lucky to all have known each other for so long, and we all get along. Despite our "differences". They talk to each other, they cook for each other sometimes, they keep their gardens neat and tidy, and when someone goes overseas we collect the mail and cut the grass.
I guess there are different experiences in Punchbowl, there are good and bad streets in every area. But there is also a general misconception that because it is not a salubrious harbourside area, there are all sorts of social problems. Not my experience. There are more police emergency calls on any given weekend in Sydney at good old Bondi Beach than many months of weekends at Punchbowl, but that isn't going to sound as dramatic and scary in the media.
Without a personal experience it can be easy to swallow all the hype.

Yeah there are plenty of shithole suburbs that aren't actually that bad. TL;DR.

Speaking of shitty things, ABC now has the rights to the Beached Az series (it's actually had the rights for a while now)

There's like 12 episodes of this rubbish, involving the Whale & Seagull plus a bunch of other guests. It's seriously the worst thing on TV since Summer Heights High. I'm suprised they haven't bought out Trent from Punchy the series or something like that yet.
