Bongos count? The second insturment i learnt was like way back when i was 8, it was *ahem* a TIN WHISTLE. MAN....i can't bellieve that was 10 years ago, bloody hell life goes fast these days. Me and my little Irish songs, who would've believed? One day i'll incorparate it into my guitaring, one day. I've also learnt the Recorder and Ukelele. But yeah these aren't really embarrasing, more random. fuck i really love life atm.

music in 7th grade wasnt exactly that fun, all we did was do a simple drum beat, learn the intro to in the end by linkin park and learn the note c on a bass(why the fuck did our music teacher teach us this!)

Music stopped after 2000 at our primary school. They decided it wasn't important/couldn't afford it.

The most embarrassing I've played.. at the school band competitions a few weeks ago, our band played completely shit. It sucked, as all our rehersals were pretty decent!

I had to play the trombone for music class at school...and when it came time for a performance, I faked all my slide positions and didn't make any sounds, because I didn't like practising. :p

i want to play the glasses..
i haven't decided if it would be doing that rim thing or if it would be hitting them...
i have suspicions that it would be the latter!

Ugh the most embarrassing/random instrument - if you could call it that - that I have played was this thing that our primary school music teacher called a "glover horn" meaning it was a glad-wrap tube, with a glove masking taped tightly over one end, a hole cut in the thumb of the glove and then a plastic tube masking taped to this hole. It was horrible, it sounded like groaning plumbing and she made us make them all different lengths so we could play hot cross buns for the school.

Back in primary school i played the recorder. and wierd as it may seem i actualy was the best in my class, so one day we had to perform the national anthem at assembly, and out of like 20 kids only 4 of us remembered to bring our recorders (funny thing that) and so yeah, i got up and cause the other kids were crap, i pretty much played the whole thing on my own.
Now i wish i could day the same about the guitaR!! haha

I think we've got a winner here. It sounds so no frills, like a shoebox with elastic bands over it - a guitar. Do you remember those lollypops where you can blow into it and you can play songs on it? And if you blow too much, saliva comes out of the soundhole and its all sticky.
Melody pops! Yeah, they're awesome.
Does anybody know how to play harmonica? We have an old one and I want to learn how to play it, I think it would be cool.
Kevin

is it chromatic, or in one key?
if it's not chromatic, just find a song in that key and jam along :)

just blow in and out wile moving your mouth in different positions untill it sounds like something!! thats what I did, and now I can play at least 2 well known songs haha

Man, today I was in Allens along with daniel and some others and there was an electric violin out and seeing as i have wanted to buy one of these for quite some time i thought i'd give it a go. It was terrible. Usually i'm not embarresed to play in front of people but today i was nervous as because all my friends, the shop clerk and a heap of randoms were all watching (and judging) me. I felt under pressure and i played the shittest piece of f*** ever. All i wanted to do was test out the violing but instead it was like i was performing for these people. All i gained from it was this: I want an electric violin with an effects pedal and an amp.

It doesn't really embarrass me, in fact I use it in one of my guitar based songs. I play flute!
