-Charge stun. This 1-second stun has been one of the most annoying mechanics in a warrior's arsenal to date.we provide wow gold (http://www.baycoo.com),cheap wow gold (http://www.baycoo.com),warcraft gold (http://www.baycoo.com).Charge is almost mandatory for entering combat effectively and forcing yourself to begin your stun DR (which resets after 20 seconds) with a 1 second stun just so you can get in melee range and generate a little bit of rage off of it seems very counter-productive, especially with a Protection-oriented build with 2 other controlled stuns (concussion blow and shockwave) and for any warrior in general as it shares DR with intercept stun. we provide wow gold,cheap wow gold,warcraft gold.Would it be possible to change Charge into a 1-second immobilize and 2-second interrupt? This would effectively yield the same results even for snare-immune targets (via hand of freedom) but would not annoyingly start your stun DR worthlessly.

It's not that nothing gets done, let's be fair on the mods here - it's just that they don't spend every waking moment on the forum. They have lives outside of it, and rightfully so.

As mentioned by Glenn, steps are being taken which may potentially involve an upgrade to this forum, or a new forum altogether (with spam protection eg. Captchas and the like). These things aren't free, and so for TLE / Crucial to pay for the upgrade / new forum without charging any of us is quite generous, and i'm willing to wait as long as it takes.

I think that they're doing a good job...but i also think that we need just one other person who comes on here regularly (each day?) that would be willing to clean the place up.

just to clarify - was not having a go at the mods at all, they're all doing an awesome job. just that the spam is on here 24 hours a day, and each mod can't be! if everyone could help out each others forums then there would be more cover, for instance Mick seems to be on in the early hours of the morning, compared to other mods on in the middle of the day or at night time.

I think the mods are fine as is though, but there are just times where no one is on (no one's fault) and it gets out of hand. But it would be near impossible to have someone on 24/7

I vote Colezy and Kacky to be new temp mods untill something permanent is done, cos if we have someone on the other side of the world who is on all the time they can clean up at like 3am while we are sleeping but it would be day time there and then someone who is on here every day to do the same.

It's not exactly our call though - it's up to the Administrators (in this case Glenn, Rae, Woody, etc.). If they feel there's a need for another moderator on the forum then I'm sure they'll let us know, or they'll contact specific individuals through PM's.

Pretty sure one of the spams I saw in an existing thread made use of "adult-oriented" images, so we might need to be careful - I'm sure there are people on the board who are either under 18, or may be offended by such imagery.

I had a funny thought... I wonder how Bogfurk would do as a mod. :p

I make it a habit not to open the threads that are created by the spam-bots, it just so happened that a bot had breached one of our beloved normal threads.

I've messaged rae/woody about it, suggesting that at least in a temporary sense, I'd be happy to do extra mod duties to try and clear up the joint, but havent heard back.

Not only is it frustrating for the regulars to come in a wade thru pages of spam to get to the real stuff, but it's gotta be embarrassing for TLE to have new fans sign up and see a board that looks like no-one gives a shit.

I know the spam can be annoying for some of you, but I think it's pretty easy to identify which threads are spam and which aren't just by the title or name of the poster. So hopefully the rest of you can find it as easy as I do to scroll past and avoid it until the problem is fixed.

I try to log on before I start work every morning and before I go to bed every night to delete the spam in headlines. Most of the time the spam in all threads is gone a few hours after posting which I think is a pretty good turn around time considering that we don't have a mod on here 24/7. Even if more mods are added or the current mods are going to be given access to delete threads from all forums, you're still going to get spam hanging around for awhile until one of us comes online.

So if you can just try to ignore it and make the most of what we've got until a solution is found, I think we can still have a pretty enjoyable forum :)

I'm usually online until 2am or later each night (except Fri & Sat due to work) and I delete/ban all the spam before I go to bed, and when I get up I delete the next round of spam.


The only thing the other mods can do is delete the spam. Thats the best thing to do at the moment, until things get sorted.

I cleaned up over 70posts full of shit just then.

The usernames for the spammers was huge, but the IP address list was tiny. There was about 10 IP Addresses all up.

I'm usually on deleting about 50 threads a day during work hours. I apologise for letting it go last weekend, but I was in town for a function. I'm also beyond flatout at work at the moment...it's hard to strecth myself over 3 schools and a forum you know. I am but one man.

I'm back on board now though, and i'll work to address a few of the ideas raised here.

I just added a mod that is meant to drastically cut down the amount of Spambots by automatically banning anyone who gets through the registration process in less than 5 seconds. (Thanks Chelsea)

Fingers crossed that I've done it right, and it actually works!
