Video is... strange. The slow motion thing didn't really do much for me given it doesn't match the tempo of the song at all, but at least they changed which character we were looking at, at the right time / beat. Seems like a bit of a cop-out clip to me.

I can't help but wonder if more people in our selfish western society purchased CD's rather than not , doing things the illegal way . . although I dont see it as 'illegal' I just see it more as 'selfish'. I cant help but think we would be getting more visually exciting film clips (not saying to not use the same video storyline idea and script , no need to argue this , I have nothing against the idea of the clip ) but I think people would enjoy the clip and it's story a lot more if it wasnt filmed on someones farm . . with the climax being $7 worth of paint ball bullets . . I also think we'd be getting a better touring back drop than 15 used $10 mega-phones sprayed white from a $50 tin of paint as an album touring back drop for 'australias biggest rock band' . .

my thoughts of the bands clips these days mean nothing in the big picture , all that matters to me is that the band continues to kick ass and we as fans do everything we can to support keeping this band in business as so many bands worldwide have called it quits recently due to the lack of rotating $$$. . . TLE rocks and I'll continue to support them with cd's and merch as best as I can for as long as they are around. Michael out

It would be nice if the bands we loved could be a bit richer. However, its not guaranteed to make things better. Becoming huge can be destructive for bands, especially if they suddenly find themselves millionaires. You'll find that bands that shun excess and extra money like Pearl Jam tend to stick to their integrity and philosophies and make better music for it.

I do understand that your point is about having a bit more than they do now...but this doesn't really bother me. Chris can afford the guitars he wants, they can afford to record with big name producers, they can get session musicians, and they can play kickass shows. That's really all that matters to me.

Bringing up how cheap the extra things surrounding the band and music are doesn't ring true for me. I couldn't give a shit if their set is totally bare or has no decorations at all, as long as the band and the sound setup is rocking. I couldn't care less if the videos are shit (I don't really consider Song For The Lonely vid to be terrible), or there are no videos at all, because the writing, music and production are amazing. So its almost...crying over the smaller, insignificant details and missing the big, important picture: the fact that the music isn't impaired by the supposed lack of funds.

Yeah , I'm not really meaning becoming multi millionaires , but just something more to help the band market themselves and promote themselves more than current. Like me, we both dont mind about clips but according to the 100's of negative facebook and youtube comments , we might be in a minority here . . Chris does have a lot of nice guitars , however my collection is not too far behind his and I'm a 26 year old self employed cover band musician.

You can buy this thing from Dick Smith. It's a usb that you plug into your computer then it has cords that plug into the vhs, it records what is on the vhs onto the computer in digital format. I can't remember what it is called though.

I've been converting all my vhs to dvd and it's taking ages.

The videos I saved all disappeared thanks to my harddrive crashing 3 months ago. Yay for bad luck.

There's still heaps on youtube which everyone can download - it may not be the best quality, but youtube have improved their methods of converting from various formats to the flash file they stream, and most people don't notice the difference.

We may have to start downloading them before SOPA attacks youtube, alot of recording companies have already attacked youtube, and TLE can't even have a couple of their music videos on their own channel because of it.

I have a VHS/DVD player that I am currently using to convert all my movies onto DVD, then I'll be throwing it out. Then I'll probably have to convert these DVD's to Bluray, and then eventually converting Bluray to whatever the hell my kids will be watching.
