People laugh at things everywhere! It's just in real life most ppl have more tact. I think the net is used quite often as an outlet from peoples everyday lives, so they often say/do things they wouldn't do in the real world cos it seems surreal in a whacky way.

but its been taken a bit too far. it's like a great big follow the leader, one person goes nuts about how ugly she is, then the rest of the world feels the need to express such crap too, and it seems a bit dramatic. then what was initially a bit of fun and silliness ends up being taken seriously by some and if that girl wasn't such a strong person who knows what she would have done.
