Feel Free To Delete This If It Has Already Been Done.\
But Lets Tell Each Other About Riffs Or Anything Weird You Here In The Background When Listening To TLE Songs That Other People Might Not Have Noticed.
For Example, In The Second Verse Of "Jimmy" Chris Is Playing The Melody He Is Singing On Guitar Aswell Quietly.
Any Others??

Ogres have layers
If you have Karaoke mode on your stereo, turn that on, it will reveal some stuff.
For instance, listen to Kasey Chambers & The Living End - Cross Fire on "Karaoke mode" and you will hear Chris doing the backing vocals, but instead of singing them, he sounds almost as if he's just reading off the sheet

At the end of black cat you can hear chris talking. In fact the whole SOE has some interesting background noises scattered throughout.

I've been meaning to chuck on Roll On and sit down with a pen and paper and listen for the well hidden "fiddly bits".

Unless Chris got bored and took up drums :p
Hearing all sorts of weirdo stuff (like studio talking, amps buzzing etc) make for a better album.
There's times when I don't want to hear a clean crisp album

speaking of clean and crisp
theres something about the snare on Roll On that i bloody love!
nah i reckon this is an awesome thread!
its not hidden or anything like that...but the tiny lick Chris plays in WGSU? after singing
'its all around me and, i just don't understand...seems all out of place now' i absolutely adore...something to do with my love of the song when it first came out
and my friends band covered the song...and he refuses to play the lick for some reason, and i hate him for it...maybe it's beyond him, or he hasn't learned the song fully :p

Its Not Really Hidden, But The Last Bit Of 21st Century, They Play The Chorus Twice At The End, And The 2nd Time Through Chris Is Just Playing One Note Again And Again, Its Hard To Explain But Can Anyone Hear It?

I agree, I've always loved that bit! I actually can't believe someone else brought it up/thought the same thing :).
One of my favourite things with listening to TLE songs especially is definitely the layers, it's quite cool when you hear something in a song that you've never picked up before.

I was completely perplexed when the last verse of Who's Gonna Save Us had an acoustic guitar in it. Had me in convulsions.

geez, the amount of times i've listened to that song really, really closely...
i didn't even notice that solo that much
i think its fine...its in the background because its not really the best time for a loud solo...
more of an outro that adds that little extra something that makes that song sooo good
