Ok, not sure if it's been done but here goes.
Here's where you can post info about the first gig you went to, future gigs and anything to do with your favourite gigs!
Mine:
Green Day at the last december show - twas fantastic.
TLE last year was awesome, and now I'm looking forward to going to Eric Clappeldout and Weird Al :D

Kev Carmody was the first concert I went to. I'm looking forward to Eric Clapton on Tuesday, and Crowded House when ever they tour. Seeing the Finn Brothers in Melbourne was probably the best concert I've been to.

green day in march 05 at rod laver, time flies! it doesnt feel like nearly 2 years ago!
mind you i went to a few festivals and whatnot before that when i was too young to pay much attention (nothing big, just like apollo bay, mortlake buskers etc.)
first (and only) TLE was may 20 last year, sound wasnt great where i was which kinda ruined it a bit for me :( still pretty good tho
and i saw bodyjar january last year and was right up the front so that was awesome for me

^^^That (Jebs) was an awsome tour - it was my second show.
My first one was The Living End at City Hall, Riot Tour '99. The supports were Bodyjar and Eskimo Joe. It was fucking awsome. I was upstairs cos I was 16 still. I couldn't hear a word the boys were saying cos the sound at that venue is complete shite. I could barely make out Bloody Mary, that's how shite it was. I remember there was a big pole in the way of my view of the stage. I had to stand sort of side on to see Chris, and that meant I couldn't watch Trav or Scotty. That didn't bother me then, the band had been dressed by Ultralux and Chris was looking mighty-fine! He had the black and red WER clip hair, it was great!
Eskimo Joe were still playing cool stuff (Turn Up Your Stereo, Ruby Wednesday, Sweater, etc), Bodyjar played Hazy Shade.. and The Living End were just the most amazing thing I'd ever seen before (keeping in mind I couldn't see much). I always was a very shy and quite girl, but at that show I was standing up ontop of the seats screaming and singing and dancing - I was so fucking hot I was considering taking my singlet off (and just leaving my bra on...luckily it didn't come to that!). There was a big mexican wave too. Even the ticket with the holographic scull was awsome, pity i didn't get to keep it!
It was a blast!!

I REALLY wanted to go to the TLE gig that Sarah mentioned. I was only 11 though, so Mum and Dad didn't want me going unless I had someone to go with, but none of my friends at the time were as cool as me and didn't like TLE :p I tried to pay them to come, but no, they wouldn't.
I even remember coming up with a big plan which involved sitting near City Hall and just listening (it still would have sounded just as good outside, cause like Sarah said, City Hall has shit sound :p)
Anyway, my first gig was Grinspoon, City Hall 2002. I was upstairs (only 14 at the time) and pretty good time! I went along with a big group of friends and we went crazy! :D
I really wish more bands came to Hobart! Or that I had unlimited money to travel everywhere! :p
*edit - I would kill to have seen Eskimo Joe and Bodyjar back in the day.
My first concert was actually The Wiggles.

Liz was a cool kid :)
I do believe it was a gig for The Powerhouse Blues Band (http://www.powerhouseblues.com) at the tender age of 2. Though Mum and Dad aren't home, so I cant ring and ask them

Evanescence at Festival Hall in 2004. I paid $60+ for the one reason that Finger Eleven (my favourite band) were supporting them. And they only played 6/7 songs. Well worth it though. Full Scale (lead singer is now in Mammal) were the other support. I always promised myself if Finger Eleven came to Australia, I'd see them and that's how I got into gigs.
Mum went and saw INXS I think when she was pregnant with me.
Does that count? :p

Blink 182 in 04 with gyroscope and brand new. I nearly fucking died in the mosh it was bad. mum thought i had taken drugs the way i came out of it haha.
Then i saw Hoobastank 04, D12 04, Good Charlotte 05, Green Day 05, The Living end twice in 06 and unfortunately panic! at the disco 06....wanted 2 see hooba again 2moro, but got no one 2 go wit and no money. might save it up for GC or some other bands who are releasing new albums. hopefully linkin park will get off thier ass and come here.
I think mine was Graeme Connors. I thought he was cool back then :p
He's still cool. In some sort of way.
Dad was telling me last night that my first show was almost an international one. But instead my first gig was to see his band.
Koko Taylor was touring and he was going to take me, but mum didn't think it was wise at the time. I was a huge Koko Taylor fan when I was knee high to a grasshopper.
So he went and bought me back a cassette of hers

im ashamed of mine...good charlotte @ the enmore 03'. i hate them now. my first really good concert was waveaid at the scg jan 05'.
If it makes you feel any better, mine (other than kids performers and stuff) was Simple Plan at Rod Laver Arena, October '05 I think. They were a lot better live than they are recorded. I don't hate them now but I don't really listen to them much anymore.
First really good gig would be TLE at Fed Square a few months later, shortly followed by Green Day at the Telstra Dome and a pretty constant stream of gigs since then.

Favourite gig ever been to was Green Day at the SCG, December '05.
Last gig went to was My Chemical Romace at the Tiv in Brisbane.

I would like to nominate this mob as a forerunner for bad singers:

although admittedly theyre nowhere near as bad in the recordings as they are live

First gig was Peter Combe for "Something On Saturday" which is a concert series for kiddies.
First one where I was over 10 and able to make a decision was John Williamson at the Norwood Town Hall.

That's awesome that Green Day was the first show for a lot of you guys. That's a good experience.
My first concert was Bush, who I was OBSESSED with. They paved the way for all the wonderful bands I listen to now. Not that you care...haha
Annnd my favorite show, that's fucking tough. I'm going to say either The Cure, at Curiosa a couple years back (they played love cats!!) or The Living End in Philly this past November (they played uncle harry!!) Even though I'm probably missing a bunch of bands, that were still amazing...
I'm looking forward to Against Me! at the end of the month, annnd the Dropkick Murphys and Sick of it All next month.
Kacky

My favourite show...would have to be TLE back in November...there's many other bands/singers competing for the 2nd position on my list.

My mum saw the monkees when she was pregnant with me.
Hahaha, that is too cool. If it was me, I'd brag about it heaps :p
*edit* I forgot MY first show.
When my parents finally let me go to concerts, I went to Green Day in March '05. Then saw TLE play at Push Over less than a week later. First time that I saw TLE live, it was a big moment for me haha.
And I'd asked my parents previously to go to a concert (THE CONCERT WILL REMAIN UN-NAMED BECAUSE I AM COMPLETELY EMBARRASSED). They said no because they felt I was too young. And goddamn I am so glad they didn't let me go hahaha.
