Hi guys!

Finally super psycho legend - MAD SIN from Deutshland coming to Russia! They will play one gig at St. Petersburg at 23 of february. So we take a trip to russia! And also at that gig will be support of 2 bands who are our friends. One of them - Hellstompers from Ivanovo. So we also have a nice time to meet with close friends which we don't see last year. Also we will be in Sp.B at the first time, but we have some friends there!

Also want to say that now in Mad Sin playing an old guitarist from Nekromantix - Peter Sandorf! So we have chanse meet with him too.

This travel are most expencive of all our travels! But we don't care!

Did anyone of you was at Mad Sin gig?

I have it on good authority that Mad Sin will be in Australia this year, they put on a great show, the front man is larger than life, the double bass spits flames and the whole band are just nuts. I can pretty much assure anyone that they won't be disapointed by a Mad Sin live show. As for underage shows, if I was your parents I wouldn't let you go! Can't recommend them higher than that can I?! Ha ha

Thanx for reply Simonnott. It's a joke, we don't afraid to speak with Kofte of course. And it's a joke that he's horrifying. He's a psychobily guy and we have many friens among psychobilly guys. We love Mad sin and loves them more then others when we was 18. Wont to hear them live and don't feel any demand to speak with Kofte. We rather want to speak with Chris or Scotty :)

We back!!! Gig was amazing!!! Our i-net traffic is limited now but from 1st of march we'll upload all nice photos. we'll write a report about gig and time in Piter. We hanged out with Mad Sin guys and they are all super nice guys!!!! so we have a lot to tell about this gig!

Af course we met fith Amur!!! Woo-hoo!!! TLE forumers met! Wait for our report and photos!

OUR REPORT

We never was in SPb before but our friends Mad Heads was there with gigs alot of times. Snt.Petersburg is a psychobilly-capital of Russia and there are alot of fans and bands. We have several friends there which we met several times at the psycho-fests in another russian town Ivanovo. We went to SPb for the Mad Sin's gig, to see the friends and of course for meet with Amur!

We arrived at the day before gig and walking around. Amur showed us some nice places and we spent a good time talking about TLE and other things. At that day was totally cold so we freezed our asses when stopped in some park. When we walked together we got a call from our old friend Eugene "Yoghurt" and he invited us to meet in local famous R'n'R club "Money Honey" at the evening. We was excited when he told that Mad Sin already arrived and they also will be in club. We don't be ready for such news because we talked before with Peter Sandorf ( guitarist of Nekromantix, now he played with Mad Sin) and he told us that they'll arrive in the day of gig. The matter was that he arrive from Denmark and Mad Sin guys arrived the day before from Germany.

How we was excited? Really excited! We was embarrassed so Amur could lough from us :) Amur lead us to subway-station and we left to get our presents for Yoghurt and change our outfits.

When we rode to gig in subway train we was so tired that we though we should fall asleep. But no way!!! We stepped in club and saw our friend Yoghurt at the table with Mad Sin guys. (must say that there is nothing special because Yoghurt is old school psycho-fan, he travelled Europe alot and know many people). We noticed Stein, Valle (new double-bass player) and Hellvis. Only then we saw Kofte considered that he sat in front of us. He had many piercing, face-tats, make-up so he was like in camouflage. We greet MadSin guys and Valle, Stein & Kofte started to tell compliments to us because of our cartoon "Ne po Puti" (http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=640720252). This cartoon we made 3 years ago for Mad Heads, it has psycho-story and there Kofte and Nekroman appears in little episode. Of course it was in time when nobody use myspace. Mad Sin guys checked it there now so it was very nice.

Than we have a nice chat with Andy-drummer because we realized we have a common friend - George from Berlin (he is a hero of our second cartoon-video "Smereka"). Andy was very friendly, and we takled alot about psychobilly scene, he told he don't like Tiger Army and Horrorpos but understand that they bring interest of psychobilly-music to young kids. He like Kings of Nuthin' very much.

Mad Sin guys was very very nice and friendly, not rock-stars but rockers. They drank beer and went to bar for something more stronger. That evening in Money Honey performed local band "Barbulators", they plyed rockabilly-covers and some pop-covers in psycho-versions. We remembered only "I like to move it" and some ramshtein song (Kofte joined in a song). We left club before subway closed and kofte and Stein said goodbye to us and shaked our hands.

Next day we met our friends from Ivanovo at the railway station. Their band calls "Hellstompers" (http://www.myspace.com/hellstompers) and they was at support. Another band which was at support was our friends from Kiev - "Hellfire Sox" (http://www.myspace.com/hellfiresox). They are young band and they managed to get on support only with help of Peter Sandorf. So we and Hellfire Sox wait forward to see him. We spent time with Ivanovo friends before gig and went at sound check.

There we saw third band which was on support. They was ska-punks from SPb and everybody didn't like their aggorant behavior. That's a pity but nobody liked them.

Mad Sin had their check and hanging around.Peter Sandorf arrived and he was wearing very cool fur-hoodie, we never saw such. Sandorf was very friendly with Hellfire Sox and asked them to give him their guitars if something happened with his Gretsch Country classic. Andy helped Hellstompers and Hellfire Sox with kick-pedal. Valle also walked around and smiled to everyone. And most of all of them had some Social Distortion clothes or patches!

Gig was really good, they performed 5 songs from last album, hits and old ones. Here's what we remembered from set list:

Kofte jumped around and throwed out his microphone-stand, eated microphone and rolled at the floor. Valle and sandorf was relly energetic. Especially Sandorf!!! We stood in a front row at his side of stage. He was our biggest impression of that day! Valle singed "I shot the sheriff" alone and sandorf singed alot of backs. Only Stein not sweating all over. He was very not emotional.

Some guy from crowd jumped to the stage and started flaped Kofte's back. When security rushed to him from one side and Hellvis from other - he quickly retreated. Kofte and Sandorf exchanged "pissed off" glances. Hellvis made his fireballs and went on the encore for singing TCS song. All time before he looked like "vuiko" - daddy from vegetable-market. But when he performed he was relly artistic and cool. That day was russian holiday "Day of soviet army" and kofte have paper of text with greetings, so he told some russian and it was pretty fun.

After gig Valle gaved many signatures, we gave to Stein and Sandorf our little presents and Den - leader of Hellfire sox kissed Koftes cheek. We had a super-cute talk with Sandorf before left club. He was so nice and smiled alot! We asked him about TLE and he told he respect them but don't really like them because he is an old rocker (he-he he is only 7 years older that Chris). All of our friends was the mostly impressed by Valle but we, Yoghurt and Den of Hellfire Sox was super
impressed by Sandorf!

We asked Valle & Stein and then Sandorf about Mad Sin's gig in AU. They said it's in a plans and they will go to AU but nobody knows when it happened.

In the morning we have a very nice chat with girl which was mistress of the apartment where we lived those days in Piter. She is a stepdaughter of very cool and famous russian psycho-musician (sorry but we don't tell who he is).

So we hanging around with Hellstopmers and Hellfire Sox at the day we must left.All our friends from Russian & Ukraine had the same good impressions. Bassist and drummer of Hellfire Sox was so excited by Valle so they even have a chrush on him.

Must tell that no all was good in our trip. One shitty thing was that we met in a train to Ukraine with crew of freaks - purists-psycho-crew of Kiev. (they hate Mad Heads XL, TLE, Hellfire Sox and everybody except themselves). Hellfire Sox, we and them was in the same carriage so they tried to bother us by every stupid way. We don't really care about them but we don't suffer fools gladly.

So here are our story - wish you all to visit gig of Mad Sin and visit Snt.Petersburg too. We missed the town, atmosphere and Amur!
