I was just vacuuming and Bloody Mary was playing on my ipod and I remebered on the From Here On In dvd where the power cuts out during Bloody Mary and anyway, I wonder if there's any songs they consider bad luck. Like something goes wrong every time they play it live?. And no one say Black Cat, that's just being smart!

I noticed that on their Jimmy Kimmel performance

There is a helluva lot of planning that goes into organising a gig. A bunch of the people in the street team thread are attempting to organise a gig at the moment and it's proving to be a fair challenge.

I found out today what 'Cream Soda' is, I went to a cool little shop today, and the guy was showing us all their stuff, we walked over to a table of shirts, he pointed to the 3 different brands, "something" "something else" and "Cream Soda". Yes Chris (with a bit of help from Scott) did all the drawing on the Hellbound release. Except the Coop Devil. Chris also did some for Self Titled. (And most of the stuff pictured in the tray art on ST)

The front cover is the same, however the re-press is "Brighter". Essentially the grey tones are more white-ish.

The back cover WAS just a close-up of Scott's blue and white argyle vest, with the track listing scattered around in black and red. The re-press has a band photo (Chris in a fuzzy jumper) with the tracks around it.

There's quite a stack of those original ones. I'd say if you bought the album within the first year/year and a half of it's release you would have got one i reckon. Then because it sold through the roof they got the opportunity to re-press.

Because the song had evolved slightly (and the drummers had changed), they re-recorded Strange with Trav for release on the US Self Titled release. They didn't release it on the Aussie version because we already had Strange released here, albeit the old version.

He wasn't blinded by the hair gel, and apparently the whole eye ordeal was created by the bright lights and gel and dye and sweat screwing his eyes. But he's fine now. And yeah, according to those confessional things he is colourblind!

Those two are sort of true....kind of. After the gig at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney in 2006, Chris' eyes were a bit stuffed. He thought maybe it was because his hair dye had run into his eyes, but then he had them checked out by a doctor. Turns out he had a little bit of light damage - similar to what you might see in a welder - and this was attributed to the bright flashing lights at shows.

There was a thread about it....but I think it was on the old boards.

Iirc, you go to select video (on FHOI DVD with video clips), go to I Can't Give You What I Haven't Got, but instead of playing it you select the skull. Someone'll want to correct me though, I have my copy packed so I can't check. Can't explain it good either. :P

something about how it wasn't a real clip, just one they made up with a montage of videos. i think they wanted to do a real clip, and release it as a single, but that's when chris got in the accident, and everything got put on hold, so they just threw a crap vid together, seeing as they had already released a promo to the radio.

Yeah, it's the official video clip for the song. It has been on Rage etc. And you are correct in that the fancy dancy video clip was canned because Chris had an accident, but that has nothing to do with why it was hidden on the dvd.

I added all of my TLE songs to my mp3 player the other day without much thought and today when I was listening to the live tracks I discovered a live version of "I Get A Kick Out Of You". It says it was recorded at Good News Week, however I can't remember hearing about this or even downloading it. Today was the first time I'd even heard it. Can anyone give me some more information on it, more specifically, when it was recorded?

I have a real Gretsch with a Les Paul-shaped body. It is a solid body, but it's beautiful looking and sounding, just like a Gretsch, but it is more affordable than, say, the Setzer model. It has that good Gretsch sound, but it's got a little more bite to it, which I like. :p

The boys/Rae (if she goes)/roadies & crew would all fly I guess..depending on where they need to go. As for their gear, well I guess a transport company might look after it all...or it would just go on the plane with them in the cargo section. I dunno!! The tour bus would be hired from a place in that country so there'd be no need for it to be transported, I'd say.....way to expensive other wise.

*edit - for tours like Warped, doesn't their stuff travel in a trailer attached to the bus?? Bah - I've put too much thought into this! :p
