The top one is what group you're in. For example you're a regular member. So you're in the "regulalala" group or whatever it's called.

Mods are in the "Moderator" group and have that under their name.

The second name is the PIP. It's the level of posts you're up to.

I wondered that myself the first time I heard it.....but it says on the sleeve "All songs: Scott Owen - upright bass". And some parts are just unmistakeably double-bass-sounding. I think it's more the style of the solo that fooled me, in that it's kind of modern and syncopated (well, one bit anyway...) and funky sounding, as opposed to the slap-happy Hellbound-style solo he usually busts out. Now I'll probably get torn to shreds by a 'real' musician on the finer points of bass solos... :rolleyes:

I saw them play in September and they played What Would You Do? as well. Plus about 3 minutes of improvised country guitar because Chris was remarking that the venue was called "The Great Western" so he'd better play some country music.

I think it's just a play on words. No doubt you've heard of "Modern Art" before. That of course it art thats contempory, I think it's just a bit of an expansion on that.

Modern Art - on the back of the cover you see them looking at the photos/art of their instruments. It's to try combine the two, I suppose.

Chris' explanation was that the songs were like artillery, using them to 'fight', for the want of a better word. I'm guessing stuff like Tab Mag and Who's Gonna Save Us are a bit. And yeah, the MODERN ARTillery is a brilliant play on Modern Art :D
