im pretty angry that the radio station Star 104.5fm (Central Coast) dosnt play Living End music!! They are meant to be the sponsor/supporter for the gig in october at the leagues club!! Even if they do play TLE music (which i have heard a few times) its only All Torn Down...

Would be nice if they played more, that way TLE might get more people to the gigs...and im pretty sure none of them have even sold out..

Cheers

Radio sponsors are funny old things.... it's normally one song they play to death and they get to "sponsor" the tour.

I wouldn't know how much TLE gets played on Nova as I don't listen to commercial radio....

I wouldn't mind hearing "Save The Day" on the radio one day.. All Torn Down is pretty much the only song that gets played more than twice on radio, though all the boys singles should be played on radio all the time... but what can you do.. Don't listen to the radio.

I think Nova in melbourne has been playing the boys a bit.

They played wake up a fair bit when it was new especially, and now they have a countdown sorta show and seem to mention tle whenever i flick across to it

Save The Day was the only song we ever got on local Adelaide radio up until 3 years ago when Tabloid Magazine came out. Then Tab Mag is the only thing they play!

Personally, I don't understand the "I go to gigs, not listen to the radio" attitude. It's like saying you don't eat food at home because restaurants are better. Unless you go out every night and have a lot of money, you're losing out.

Radio and gigs are totally different things, and I have no idea why someone would consider them mutually exclusive. You can't go to a gig whilst commuting, at home, etc. It's also free and (with the exception of a a few commercial stations) like having an infinite collection of music always on 'shuffle'.

I don't listen to commercial radio because I think it's stupid to be a zombie to advertisements, and find the patronising attitudes toward listeners to be a waste of time.

Also, using the radio function on my CD player conserves battery life, because it doesn't need to keep the CD spinning :p

Radio id good but not the commercia stations (in my oppinion) because i am not that much into all the pop kinda songs. I like listening to JJJ because of the music and no ad's. But i have only begun to listen to radio recntly because my MP3 player broke. It is OK when you have nothing else but i'd prefer to pick the songs myself (then i only ever get good songs) than have 2 in 5 or 6 in 10 that i liek on the radio.

This one is a bit off topic but i hate it how all the 'Gangster G Dawg' rap songs and pop songs go really well on music charts and radio stations but only a few good rock songs make it up to the top...It gets really annoying

Yeah just a little off the point there!

Did the Adelaide shows have the same sponsers as last time? Cause I hardly saw anything to advertise the shows and the smaller venues didn't even sell out(i think)

We sold 'em out.....but i can't remember who the sponsors are or were...never pay much attention to that

Because the general public doesn't like rock songs. And the people that vote don't listen to rock. All the rock fans don't listen to much radio because there isn't much to listen to and as a result their songs don't get heard cos they dont listen. I hope that made sense - it did to me anyway.

I do listen to the radio. I have about 10 stations programmed on my stereo and I flick between them until I find a song I don't mind listening to. And yes, the stations do include things like Gold104, MMM, JJJ, Syn as well as, to your horror, Fox, Nova, Mix etc.

I don't just like rock music. I don't know, I don't have a problem with the radio. The one thing I really dislike is ads. And songs being played to death (eg Dani California, and that newish Pink song and any James Blunt crap).

Well this morning before the Central Cast gosford gig (tonight), star 104.5fm has played quite a few TLE songs, and they even called the leagues club to find out if tickets were left. and apparently there are heaps and there will be heaps available at the door too...

cant wait, its gonna be a great local gig! :D

I have heard TLE being played in several shops in Hobart this week. Before this I've only ever once heard them played in shops down here. I heard NLF in Just Jeans and Modern Artillery was being played in Jetty Surf. I think everyone is still pumped from the Hobart gig a few weeks back!
It made me a happy girl :)

good to hear that they're getting more exposure after the shows - that's probably the best way (and reason) for people to start listening to them more!

our local station Real FM plays whatever TLE song is the latest song - so every time i walk into my co worker's office (i refuse to listen to that station because the ads are annoying AND they, up until recently-ish only played the crappest songs from the top 40 and songs from the 80s that i don't particularly like) there is a song by the boys on the radio...

it's good that the word is getting out there but i wish to the high heavens that:
1. the wouldn't play each single to death - i mean i love the boys and their music and will support them until i die or they do (whichever comes first) but sometimes i just have to leave when the radio plays "Nothing Lasts Forever"/<insert current single> for the 5th time straight...

2. they'd play some of their older stuff that wasn't a single...

that's probably asking a bit much though isn't it... dangit! :(

Channel V appears to be a big TLE supporter. They play their clips alt, especally Nothing Lasts Forever. My local radio station was supporting the Whyalla and Port Linclon shows and all I heard was an ad every now and then. They don't play songs that aren't in the Top 10. This is why I stick to good old Triple J. I can't stand most commercial crap.

I can't stand ANY radio. Listening to my own collection guarantees i'm gonna hear music i like ALL the time!

Channel V has always been pretty good to TLE....it's good to see.
