SUPPORT ACT

Jay-Z is the official Support Act for the U2 360 tours here in Australia. Rumor has it that there will be an Australian support act as well. But hopefully they just stick to Jay-Z. Unfamiliar with Z? Tour announcement is imminent.

Tipped for December 2010. We should know in a week or so. MCG is looking likely for Melbourne, as Etihad is too small to fit the megastructure / crowd.
So they're bringing the Claw setup? What are we estimating ticket prices at?

I believe so. I remember The Edge said something about leaving it in Australia for the kids to play with hahahaha.

Ticket prices: LOT$$$$ I'm guessing anywhere from $99 to $350 The $99 tickets would be at the very top of the Southern Stand.

Can't wait! Got my standing tickets today :) 2006 was amazing - especially the staging production - this time it will blow 2006 out of the water!

I think I'm going to get the Cheapo tickets. They're pretty well spread out on each level of Etihad, so I don't mind.

I paid $200+ for tickets last time around and had an obstructed view of the stage because of giant screen

Have you seen a map for Etihad yet? ANZ stadium ahsnt even released a proper map showing all the sections.

The closest thing i could find to a map was one from NZ

Yep it's up on the ticketmaster site:

The stages aren't in the middle of the arenas

Ticketmaster didn't have their shit sorted and I missed out.

The site was slow as all hell from the word go, and when I selected $39.90 tickets and got through, it told me they were the $299.90 tickets and that they wanted over $1000 for them, so I canned them.

Though a mate when to our local outlet with a shitload of others and they told him it was sold out at 9:02am. There better be another show announced soon. I'm tired and need to go back to bed.

keep trying. I know Sydney and Brissy still have heaps left - selling very slow. Ticketmaster is soo hard to determine what is left

Kev

There was only 299.90 tickets left for Melbourne. But now there's none left.

Perth had a 2nd show announced, but they have a smaller venue. Hopefully a 2nd Melbourne gig gets announced soonish.

This has started. NZ got their first show tonight. Melbourne next Wednesday.

I managed to scam some tickets from ebay. $67.50 for 2x Seated tix. And the best thing is, the person I bought them from lives 10mins drive from work, So on my break tomorrow afternoon, I'll go visit them. The tickets were originally $110 or so each.

Can't wait!
