These guys are touring with Karnivool and I thought I'd check them out. Turns out Chris features on one of their tracks, called "Something More"

Something More – ARIA award winner Chris Cheney struts in to pour his acid-blues licks onto this track. The funk gets taken for a solid walk. “They don’t want revolution, they just try to divide”.

Yeah we were talking about this quite a while ago, in the musos corner section somewhere I think. Pretty sure it was nick (wizard_23) that directed our attention that way when they released a video teaser including cheney.

Oh I remember these guys being talked about on here a while back. Apparently they're a shit live band. My friends band supported them when they played in Hobart a few months back. I didnt go, but it's just what I've heard

I'm going to the Karnivool gig at The Corner in a few weeks, so I'll give my own opinion after that :)

Its ezekiel ox who was the front man in mammal. I went and saw them just before they broke up and enjoyed it.

Yeah mammal where great, I saw them a couple of times. Ox went on with some Bono-style rants (but with ALOT more angst and gusto) between songs which was a bit much... but yeah great performers with great songs.

Those guys come across like such dicks. Really patronising and arrogant. Not a fan of their tunes at all- sounds like something limp bizkit would have been excreting 10 years ago.

Saw this thread and just wanted to say Chris is one of the nicest, humble musos I have met, and it was an amazing experience to have him laying down guitar solos in my studio.
