I was chatting with my buddy jared about the living end and great songs they have released and then got into about songs never released or never recorded but performed live. What songs come to mind to you that you would love to see released one day that you know about.
I would love to see Living Underground recorded and released one day. We may have heard the live version, but from Andys mouth the song was never recorded so the live version might be only version to ever been.
And one song I called untitled i heard the demo on the Roll on in studio clip, and it when chris talks about he got the idea from jewel how she has influenced the band and goes into singing some lyrics like: you think you got the answer, you think the question is so, I soposse I tried to tell you. but you just put me down...." Love the melody and wish it was on roll on or was a b-side.
Scott answered my question on the online q&a they did when i asked if they will ever play b-sides live and he said well they got about 8 hours worth of b-sides in the vault and maybe one day they would do a whole show of just b-sides joking around.
The guys have released a greatest hits singles cd, do you think they will ever release a b-sides cd?

They weren't what I would call "b-sides". B-sides come with singles. The tracks from Under The Covers are all covers of older songs.
I would also like to see Living Underground recorded properly.
A b-sides album would be awesome, but I reckon that if at some point it does get done, it will be once the band have retired/finished making albums/gone in different personal directions (solo music, family commitments etc).

the album would be cool but it would be so disjointed what with the different styles of each album

I want to hear everything that didn't make it onto Roll On - that is such a fucking great album that even all their shit from it would have to be good :)
I think they should also do a covers cd - a new one that is, with new TLE covers (and including the bloody tv themes that never got anywhere and the Christmas tune from Recovery all those years ago!!)
Bully! At least, I think it was titled bully. I like that song, even if we only got to hear a few seconds of it. also Decide for me... that one seems like a pretty powerful song

well many punk bands today have put out b-sides album and it did not mean the band was breaking up. Bands have released b-sides in a time when they were not going to come out with a new album for a few years and wanted to give the fans something, or when they have switched record labels and the label wanted to put out one last album of songs they may have partial rites to before the band moves on else were.
I remember how all of us pulled together and pettiton Flood the sky a release, i think if we can get another list of songs posted we all know we might be able to pull another miracle and get the guys to do us fans another wonder again.

I didn't mean it would happen only if they break up.
I'd rather have it released after the band has finished and there aren't going to be any more albums and singles released. That way once a b-side album is released, you'd know that you wouldn't be missing out on any new b-sides..if that makes sense??

yeah i agree, but if it happened after the band split, i do think they may release some, but scott said there about 8 hours worth of b-sides in the vault. that just makes my head go insane to relize there almost as many unreleased TLE songs we never heard as there is songs we did. And they would never release all 8 hours and if they did it be like a 8 disc cd box set, and that be great to own a box set of all unreleased songs. they would probally be the 1st band in history to ever do so if they did one day.

Its like this.
The Living End - Best of B Sides: Volume 1
then it all continues. A whole album is close to an hour and a half youd think. So thats about 5-6 cds :o

That's called Bully and it was written by Trav, so I dunno if there's much chance of it being released at this point.

In my opinion there isnt really that many unreleased songs out there:
Living Underground is a great song (in my opinion), but it hasnt been recorded so I think its chance is gone.
Into The Red was the only otherwise that was really out there. And eventually it got released too, some years later. I guess if the band like a song enough it will be released.
The only other unreleased songs Ive heard are those played at the original Longnecks gigs, and they were pretty rough to say the least.
Partly because of threads like this/fan pressures I think the band is a bit reluctant to play new songs, particularly at recorded shows etc. That way when they make a release they release what they like and are happiest with

I was quite impressed (not that I got to see it straight away cos i don't have austar...) when they did Til The End at the award thing. It wasn't a single, and never became a single, but they played it anyway - and it was fucking awsome back then and they have since changed it...so yeah, it was nice to see them do something sort of risky i guess, out of the TLE-formula box.

I agree, even if it did get chopped in half by freaking TV. (And the dumb mic stand kept falling down)
I wouldn't mind hearing Living Underground come out. And about the only other one i can think of is Untitled instrumental from the Detour show.
Oh...and Lookin Out My Backdoor...I've only got the Runaway Boys version, and a half arsed live attempt by The Living End. And if we're talking covers, they should re-record Rip it Up in it's entirety.

They probably don't know it.
There were a couple of new songs they played on the riot tour. One of them was an early version of Dirty Man but there was another one that I haven't heard since. I've got it on a bootleg somewhere, it's a really dodgy recording and I can't make out what Chris is saying but it sounds like "Before the eyes of the Sun" Any ideas what happened to it?

I actually dont want to see Living Underground released. That song is too repetative. They say the same shit over and over.

I just noticed that Flood The Sky was a Modern ARTilery demo... took them a while to release it, I love it. Was it written by Scott or Chris? All over the net it says Scott wrote it. But on the FHOI dvd it says Chris wrote it..

The only time Living underground was heard would been when it was performed live. the song was never recorded. I learned this after talking to my great friend jared who is the lead/singer gutiarist of The Captians(now The Downrights) who opened up a show for the living end on november 24th in ashbury NJ. I asked him what he talked to chris scott and andy about and he said he talked to chris about gutiars and music and jamed with chris, said scott was literally just layed back did not talk to him much, and then talked to andy about songs and got in to talking about living underground. andy said he really liked the song but it was never recorded and was a decesion made as a band not him. Andy also said to him there were alot of songs they jamed out and have wrote but never performed or recorded while making state of emergency.
