Breed with Matt from The Bronx!!! Chris introduced him as a member of the best band on the whole Big Day Out tour, and that they decided 10 mins ago he was gonna come on and sing it. Filmed it, and will upload link when I post it to youtube.

I've been living in Perth since I was 4, and I have to say, the crowd was really, really shit for them :( I thought I'd just go to the front to take some photos then escape, but I had a part of the barricade to myself the whole set and didn't get knocked into ect at all. No one was singing, and besides the two other boardies next to me, I think the majority of the barricade were waiting for MCR who were next.
Even during Second Solution, nobody was singing the "SOLUTION!" part until Chris said "Come on Perth it's the last fucking show, give us something!"
When they finished, I don't know if it's cause we sucked as a crowd, but Andy just dropped his drumsticks onstage, instead of throwing them out.

Didn't try to meet them at all, was watching Kasabian, then strobes went off so I turned around, to discover Chris standing right behind me!

Familiar view! ;) Nice pics Jessii & was lovely to meet you yesterday! Unfortunately I lost you in the "crowd" afterwards though...

...so this morning, suffering from the usual post-TLE gig depression that its all over until I don't know when, I made the inspired choice to go up to my regular cafe for my second coffee of the morning and risk the wrath of the boss for being late for my 11am meeting. How else to get through it?! Placed my order, picked up the paper, abused the BDO article which referred to "Australian festival stalwarts The Living End..." looked up and directly in front of me was Andy, waiting for his coffee fix too! I had to look twice to believe it, and by that time he had clocked me looking at him and he smiled, so I said "Hi" and we had a bit of a chat. He was really sweet and put up with me saying about 5 times how great they were and then giving other great insights about the crowd and the weather. Anyway, coffee was ready, and the others were waiting for him in the Tarago back at the hotel and we parted with another "tell the guys how great it was"...such a fan girl! I did however resist the urge to loop back past the hotel to check out the Taragos!

...and back at the office? A few steely stares as I waltz into the meeting late, but did that concern me...not likely...and I have no idea what I actually acheived today...

Oh Jeez...I never even thought of that! Now I do feel old...

I can't really complain about the MCR fans though... I mean I spent the entire Cavalera Conspiracy set at the barrier having no idea what to do at a metal gig... it was fun though ;)
