Not very much. About 6 years ago I was playing netball and I caught the ball oddly. Dunno what happened but the tendon in my right-hand pinky is now gone.

lol.
Interesting . . .
I spent 50 days in an Intensive Care Unit, most of them unconcious, attached to a whole heap of machines that made me breathe because I couldn't do it myself anymore. I have some kick-arse scars from that ordeal. None of which you shall see because I am not taking photos of them. You just gotta trust me on it.

Early last yr I rolled my ankle ( i think i did more damage than i know - i didnt xray) and i was on a class trip to the city ..so i did that as i was running to the tram, in the morning, and i spent the whole day on it- it hurt so bad- and i when i got home, i took my shoe off...and like my ankle was a funky blue colour..then about 10min later it blew up about 3 times normal size. it was fucked for about 5months..
then in october at concert- my leg got fucked up..and it still is..damn bitch
when i was younger - i rode up a bike ramp, came crashing down and smacked on of my teeth..its fucked now to- i fractured that (teeth dont heal from that) so its not white white anymore and yuck lol
and.....the other day i grazed my arm..and it looks like carpet burn :p
Im glad your better Jawn!!!
EDIT: I just remembered...I got hit in the head with a Bowling Ball...like..it hurt like crap

Who wants to hear about my funky as hallucinations and stuff I remember whilst being whacked out on all the sedatives? You don't? Oh well, I wanna type on the keyboard so I will anyway!
I can't remember what exactly I was on, but I had morphine, and ketamine (thats a horse tranquilizor. Its also a recreational drug, it fucks you up pretty bad. I think some dude peeled his face off and fed it to his dog high on ketamine. But that could be a lie. I'm not researching into that just now.) I remember closing my eyes to go to sleep but I could still see the ward. But with subtle changes, like a SOFA in the MIDDLE of the ward. There is no real sofa in the middle of the ward, but thats what I was seeing. Oh, and I was convinced that a car managed to crash into an ambulance directly outside the window behind me. The cool thing is, THERE WAS NO WINDOW BEHIND ME. And sometimes, I thought they were taking me somewhere, when they weren't. And as they were taking me somewhere. The setting changed. One time, I was being wheeled around in a mansion. Tops stuff. Apparantly once I was complaining that I could see myself looking at myself from outside my isolation room (I was put in isolation because I have some kind of superbug. Im like the 32nd person in Australia to get it or something. It does nothing to me except get me my own single room in hospital because they are scared of more people getting it. Pretty cool). I don't remember that though because I think I was sleeping. Or something. Either way, I don't remember that particular one.
When I woke up, I discovered I was pretty much paralysed from the shoulders down. You see, when you are lying down for a whole heap of days and they pump you full of steroids, you lose all your muscle and you literally can't move. I had no movement in my arms, or my legs. I had a trachie-ectomy (sp?) in my throat so I couldn't talk or eat or drink either. But I'm a tough nut and soon they let me start drinking with the tracchie in. They made me drink water with blue food colouring because they wanted to see if the water was going in my lungs. But it wasn't. They stopped that when they realised how hardcore I am. I also learnt to eat, but everything had to be vitamised (mashed up) at the start. That sucked. Anyways, when they woke me up I spent the rest of my ICU days having my limbs moved for me by the physio and learning to breath again. When I got out and into a proper ward, it was pretty much the same. But I could breath better and didn't have the tracchie so I could eat and drink and talk. But sometimes I forget I could talk, which annoyed the nurses. And then I started talking again, and that annoyed them too. I took my first steps for the second time in the ward. They then kicked me out to rehab where I did more walky exercises. At first, old people were doing better at getting out of chairs and walking than me. But then, I started to kick their arses and got out of rehab after like 20 days. I can't really remember.
I'm so fucking tough.
Oh, I also have a hose in my arm, like right fucking now. I'll show you a picture of what the hose looks like but I'm too lazy to take pictures. It kinda looks like this:

I nearly died from a severe asthma attack when I was younger. I can't remember how old I was but I still remember it all fairly clearly. But does that even count as an injury?
I was in hospital alot as a kid cause of tubes in my ears and stuff and a knee operation.
But other than that, I am suprisingly invincible in broken bones sorts of injuries. Which is weird cause i've played contact sports and i'm skinny as hell.

Jawn, you're my hero!
I've had a few injuries and junk, nothing super serious though:
Cracked my head open 2 times
Broken my right arm
Torn my right knee open, required skin grafts and 'cosmetic surgery'. I now have no proper feeling on the skin anymore, but it hurts if you touch it
Arthroscopy on the other knee, it was clicking something horrible and apparently I tore my medial meniscus. They fucked up my nerves on that knee so it hurts when you touch it too.
Plenty of other goodies not worth a mention

It looks a lot worse than it is. Seriously, you don't know its in there. I feel it when drips are in me. These suckers take that away. Plus they are in for a good few months, as opposed to a few days for a drip. And you can take blood out of them, so blood tests with a needle aren't as frequent. Takes about 10 minutes to put in, and if the doctors are nice they give you some anaesthetic and your in la-la land.
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. At the moment things are going just peachy.
EDIT: oh and damo, I had a chronic lung syndrome called Boop. Which stands for Bronchial organised obliterating pnumonia. They changed the name recently though. I think because it was too close to "boob".

Funny this thread just got created. I broken my friggen little toe tonight. I was sparring against my Sifu in Martial arts and I landed awkwardly after a kick and snapped it clean in half. It's just hanging on my foot haha It's starting to swell now. Just what I needed, I'm supposed to be competing in the National All Styles next month!
Worst injury I did was playing Footy. I cappered this massive dude, took a screamer of a mark, then he decided to throw me into the turf. I landed right on my shoulder and broke my collarbone. The funny thing is I didn't get off the ground. I got back up. My arm was a bit numb and I didn't realise I'd done some serious damage until I went up for the next mark and felt a sharp pain shoot through my arm.
Broke my right arm by falling off the top of a slide. My mum's friend, a nurse, told me nothing was wrong with me, just a bruise. 5 hours later, still in pain, the x-ray machine at A+E said otherwise.
Dislocated and broke 2 fingers on my left hand just by falling and sliding with my hand under me. 2 general anaesthetics to pop them back into place.
Sprained ankle from landing wrong on the playground.
Fell up the stairs and landed on my knee-cap. Due to intense bruising, I had to alter my walking for a while, which has led to prolonged hamstring problems. I still do physio on it.
Muscles at the sides of the pelvis/hips have prolonged problems, so I have physio on that too.
Woohoo.

Broken my ribs three times. Twice from being kicked by psycho horses, once from being attacked by a psycho person who threw a chair at me. I've cracked a few as well, but yeah. Not so bad.
Fingers, I don't even know how many times I've broken/dislocated them. Stupid stupid stupid. Most of it's from netball & basketball, once was from horses, and then there's my personal favourite. I was late for a party and had to run back into the house to get something. Our downstairs door is broken, so you have to normally really ram into it to get it to open in a hurry. So I ran up, took a flying leap at the door which turned out to actually not have closed properly so I just hit it and kept going, tripped, and fell down the stairs on my arm. Broke three fingers.
I dunno if this really counts as an injury, but I've got something so wrong with my back & neck. It has a fancy name but I can never say/spell it. Basically my back curves -way- too much, so my neck goes all weird to compensate. GO ME!

I broke my left arm before.
I just so happened to be skating on my Dad's outdoor ice-rink, I couldn't seem to stop myself so I headed for a snowbank, and just as I was ready to sit in the snowbank, my feet came out from underneath me and I landed on my arm and twisted it. Hurt like a bitch and ended up getting it casted. I havn't skated a lot since.

- Accidentally sawed my own leg. 2 stitches
- Sliced my leg open on a piece of tin. Down to the bone. 6 stitches
- Fell off the back of a friends bike and ate bitumen. 7 stitches in top lip.
- Got cleaned up by a ignorant fuck whilst I was riding to school in year 7. She ignored a Give Way sign and hit me. Despite running over a child, she still didn't realise and drove 100 metres down the road with me and my bicycle trapped underneath unil a screaming pedestrian finally got her attantion.
- Knob-end threw a CD like a frisbee across a crowded classroom and it hit me in the face just below my eye. Cut to the bone (Just where the base of the nose is).
- Trod on a piece of wood with a nail coming up though it. Didn't quite pierce my foot!

Wow, Glenn, you've had quite a lot of injuries.
Another one of my injuries was a result of highjump in grade 7.
Instead of using the pole for practise, we used string so it didn't hurt as much. So anyway, when it came my turn what I didn't know was that someone in my class tied the string around the side poles...so when I went to jump, I ended up hitting the string and both poles came down and hit me in the head pretty hard. I take my hand off my head, after my little freakout and there was blood...no stitches, just a big headache.

Yeah you do the most stupid stuff as a kid.
So as you can all imagine; I must have been bad :p
I remember, before we got a remote garage, I tried to swing (on the rope thingy) from the garage to the letterbox (a good 15m).
As you could guess; I fell considerably short

But when you're a kid your body can recover a lot easier! The bones are a lot more flexible and you're still growing. When you've reached your peak growth that's when the trouble start.

My auntie is in Hopsital right now. She's forever going in and out the damn place. I know my way around most of the hospital floors and wards due to her being in there so often! Anyway, she has a similar thing in her arm at the moment...pretty much like this:
http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/963/picclinelm9.jpg It's being used for long term antibiotic treatment. She is also having her foot off soon.
As for me, when I was nine I fell off my bike (riding way too fast) and broke my left arm at the growth plate. Took three months to heal and during those three months, my arm didn't grow, so now its shorter than my right arm :p
Have had many broken fingers from playing various sports. Black eyes, bloody noses etc. Was run over by a water truck when I was 7 and riding my bike to the shop for lollies - broke my ankle.
I've fallen from my bike heaps of times, no broken bones though. Just bruising and a scrape here and there. Nothing extreme
Same goes for riding the skateboard. Fell off plenty of times, never did any extreme damage. Just bruising etc.
I did fall off the bed one night and did something to my collar bone. But I was little and don't remember squat about it.

I know this accident prone kid. Was my brother's best friend back in high school, he's about 22 now.
He was mountain biking or something similar and BROKE HIS BACK. This was just last year or early this year. He's lucky, he was close to becoming paralysed. Was in hospital for ages and needs physiotherapy and the like.
- He's had a shotput thrown into the back of his head.
- Rode his bike into a river.
- Broken most bones.
- Electricuted. Twice.
He's just that kinda guy...

When I was in 8th grade(99-00) I was playing basketball(net ball?) and I tried to steal the ball and even though I didn't hit the ball hard, I still managed to chip a small corner of the 1st bone from my knuckle on the outside. Swelled up something nice and dark blue. That's my onle break, which I don't count as a bone break
Have sprained my wrist. Fell funny off my skateboard sometime in 7th grade (98-99). Wore my moms wrist brace
While I was working at my first job (05) I was grinding burrs off a table. The cord for snagged and so instinctivly yanked on it. Well, the grinder hit a bracket nearby and bounced off and got my neck as it wound up in my Dickies workshirt. I now have 3 scars... 1 at 3", 1 at 1" and the 3rd at .5"... as well as 2-3 circular scars that look like pimples. The biggest is 1" off centre from the centre of my neck. Good thing they were only deep enought to scar and not tear into vitals. Actually it was deep enough to sever nerves I think coz I didn't know it gashed me until my boss said I was bleeding pretty well. I even used an alcohol wipe to clean it(which burn like hell) and IT din't even hurt. No stiches though

umm no real injuries for me...except for when i was playing cricket in my older brothers team I was fielding at short cover and some old fart smashed a drive and i dived to catch it, dropped the catch, broke my thumb and my index finger and split the webbing between the two...the breaks weren't that bad but the split webbing was painful.

i split my toe in half jumping off a dock once.
5 stiches to the chin when i was kneeling on a chair, and it fell forward, and i smashed my face on the table.
best story is when i was 10-12ish, when i was a little tomboy. my parents tried to protect me from running with the neighborhood boys by buying me a large moutain bike, so i couldn't keep up with the boys' trick bikes. that didn't stop me. they used to ride over skateboard ramps, and dared me that i couldn't clear it. so i started at one end of the street and went flying over this tiny little ramp and cleared it by about 20 feet, and then smashed my face into the handlebars, got my legs tagled in the bike chain, and then fell over. since i was going so fast, and since i was attached to the bike, i got dragged another 15 feet across cement and stones. needless to say, i was cut up good.
then, 2 days later, i was 'it' while playing bike tag (once again on my moutain bike) and were were going down an alley and i hit a garbage can and fell in a pile of glass.

Pulling a hammy hurts likes hell.
But the most painful things to happen to me have been;
Being hit in the head with a tennis ball.
Being hit in the head with a tennis racquet.
Being hit in the face with a basketball.
Running into a netball pole.
Falling into soccer/hockey goals.
Being hit in the arm with a hockey ball.
Being hit in the nose with anything always hurts...

Thought of another one.
Sometime last year one of my horses, the craziest one, reared up and landed on my foot. I was wearing chucks at the time, which have all the protective value of a thick sock, so my foot ended up really nasty. I took my shoe off a few minutes later and my foot was already completely black, not cool. And yeah, I have this funny mark thing from it now. Plus, found out the other day, nerve damage. YEAH.

WOW! You're a trooper!
Well apart from my numerous cricket injuries, i'd have to say when i popped my kneecap out of place while playing rugby, takes the cake as my best injury. Basically i got tackled in a real awkward position, and yeah the dude jolted my kneecap out of place lol. I basically couldn't walk, and yeah had a phat limp for a few weeks. It bothers me to this day and my knee locks up alot, which sucks, especially when i play cricket.

I have permanently torn ligaments in my ankles. I didn't list them in my post earlier though beacause its permanent. It sucks big time though and stuffed up my swimming so much that I had to 'retire'.

i have never had any serious injuries like broken bones nearly dying etc.
i am although prone to falling over in front of people and embarrassing myself.
Examples of these is when i slipped in mud then hit my head on concrete, my dress went up at the back so all the people behind me could see my underwear and my forehead was bleeding a fair bit.
Another time i was in my school bus bay, and pretty much half the school was in the bus bay at the time aswell. Anywhoo what happened was i tripped over a bag and did this funny little tumble thing down the hill. i landed on my ass with most of my friends on the floor with laughter and the teachers around me making smart ass comments aswell. Definetly not my proudest momment.
Im also prone to hurting myself in the kitchen wether is cutting my self or burning myself.
i have a massive scar on my finger from cutting it while cutting veges, i also managed to cut myself while polishing fruit while on work placement.
i have also dropped a hot iron on my stomach, steam burns on my arm, massive scar on my hand from accidently touching the element in an oven and random other burns here and there.......Like i said nothing life threatening just embarrassing

Sneaky little bastards. We don't have possums where we're living at the moment but we have foxes and feral dogs which are even more annoying.

Nah you just get tweezers, lift up the stitch a little and use like nail scissors to cut them

I have a kind of embarrassing spot with a scar on it...
When I was probably 9 or 10 years old, I cut the side of my arse cheek on the broken soap holder...
Coz of the spot it was in I got it 'special' glued up instead of stitches, Only experience with a hospital:D
